10 = This slot is reserved for the best of the best; This is the only slot that requires multiple reviews and watches of the show in question. If said show can consistently pass as 9 over a long period (years), it qualifies for being a 10. I do this because a 10 ought to be timeless; it ought to be universally appreciated as a classic, its themes styles and characters ought to be recognizably appreciated with the same sense as they were back when it was initially created. A true masterwork of human art will stand the agonizing test of time to become a timeless classic of animation.
9 = Phenomenal; simply oozing style, incredible thematic elements combined with incredible character development/depictions, and or animation. It's everything short of a masterpiece.
8 = Incredibly entertaining; this slot is reserved for shows that are wonderfully engaging, but lack both the originality and creativity to be called a 9. These shows are a must watch.
7 = Interesting, a good laugh, or what could have been great, but only ended up being "good." These shows had great potential, but squander along the way. They're all still highly recommended, though their quality is in an odd grey area.
6 = While above mediocrity, their quality is inconsistent enough to be below that of 7. The flaws of shows in this category can be best described as "quality shows that have piss poor inconsistencies, essentially the poorest bunch of the rich side of town."
5 = Mediocre; average and lacking any sort of fascinatingly creative depth, or brash in trying to do so. This includes but is not limited to animation, character development/depiction, and poor handling of themes. These could also be comedies of low value as well as quality ecchi.
4 = Niche or pandering with poor quality. They're narrow in goals and demographics, yet fall short of their few objectives. They're fun to critique however.
3 = Dismissive of character development, animation, and audience awareness. They lack the potential to be called anything except "well below average."
2 = Just barely above the mark of being called a 1, they're sort of like fancy chain restaurants, plentiful yet still shitty; albeit better than McDonald's...think Olive Garden quality. I compare this category to fancy chain restaurants because they're the sort of the fodder in the sea of anime that are modestly plentiful, and yet deceptively saporous to "eat" for the general audience, however those who've had the pleasure to dine at a finer establishment will have tremendous difficulty attempting to "digest" them. They give off a perfect facade of quality with quantity, the quality of which they are sorely lacking after realizing the beer ordered with dinner is tastier than the food on the plate.
1 = "Ass End Fast Food Shows" as like to call these one hit wuunders; think of your local shit decked McDonald's as the level of quality these shows provide. The characters are made out of cardboard, there's no development, the plot is lousy and grossly confused with its own ideas, these shows blatantly insult the viewer's intelligence, and their animation is wildly inconsistent.
I'm an incredibly sarcastic person. Please, do not take everything I say seriously. With that said, I enjoy general discussions. Have a chat with me if you're interested in a topic.

Seems people have been committing suicide after episode two as well.. time to check it out for myself. But i've seen enough Korean / Japanese drama to know that actual Asians crying is not something you want to continuously watch every episode. No offense to Asians lurking around here.
Hm, actually i was referring to the change in atmosphere, having it presented as more peaceful rather than the constant trauma Nakamura would inspire. As for the recent chapters, i don't generally read them the second they're released since i like to read many in a group as opposed to 20 images every month
[so thanks for the spoilers!]..
Felt the same way about the re-appearance of Saeki, as further proven by [http://z.mhcdn.net/store/manga/9116/040.0/compressed/i039.jpg?v=11360091822]
Might as well catch up with the last 4 chapters now.
More importantly, i find it awful that the cry-baby [can i call him that] Kasuga from the manga will not exactly have a chance to be so in the anime, given how he looks. Can't imagine Kasuga with the current chara-design crying, and he does that all the time in the manga.
Another thing, what's your opinion of the latest Aku no Hana chapters?
But yeah, (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ indeed.
