Fair nuff. I mostly read light novels nowadays. And do some writing on occasion

Favorite games have to be Celeste, Signalis, and Omori in no particular order. That's just the order I played them in, so that's how I remember them. Indie games with horror elements are great. Bands I definitely like Emerson Lake and Palmer a lot, I listen to a lot of classical music, classic rock (The Beatles, Electric Light Orchestra, etc) a lot of things outside that as well. All music is good, unless it's really bland and repetitive like modern country but that's more that all the artists decided to say the exact same thing in 100 different ways so I got bored.

What games do you like?

You're good, I was just speaking my mind anyways.
Video games, music, sound design, clothes if I had a better sense of style. wbu?

For me it's less the focus and more the awareness. tbf though it has been getting progressively worse over time

You seem like someone I'd like to get to know better. And by the way, I'm a bit mysanthropic too, though not in the commonly understood, stereotypical sense that I hate everyone I meet, I just have some feelings against a stereotypical image of humanity in relation to mother nature and the concept of goodness.
Eh, I think I'm getting off-rails, the point is that you seem like an interesting person who I'd want to get to know better.
I'm just tired of people being terrible tbh

You've probably heard Post Malone in passing. From post I rly like Wrapped Around Your Finger & Circles. From Eden, I like xo and fumes the most, Dreamers it's dizzy & body language. Those are a few favs from my fav artists. Recently I've been really liking Karma from dutch melrose as well.
Picking a favourite film is kinda hard, I mean I struggle to even pick 5 favourite anime lol. For the most part I just find films now just fine, they werent like exactly good nor bad. Some films are fun like John Wick but I dont consider them good movies yk since its just action and that can be enjoyable, but if you really break down the film/plot etc its probably not a good film? but they're fun. I haven't seen any of the newer star wars stuff, it seems pain. Ah, I see. Video game music is just good stuff, I dont listen to it often but there is times where I just want to listen to a certain song from a game. Orchestra can just like hit different? is the the only way to describle it compared to other music, just seeing it on like a gameshow and the sounds they produce is just a nice feeling, also just good music for studying or something lol.
Well well time to read more !

I don't have a favourite film tbh. I watch them but I rarely think about them long after seeing them. I guess the closest would be: The Menu since I do think abt it from time to time. You? For music, I like post malone alot so I'll say him for my favourite - like his music + he's just a genuinely nice person. I just like artists mostly who are a singular person, not a group. So, like Eden is another for example. Genres is sorta everything tbh it truly depends on my mood or what I'm doing, if I'm reading manga but want to listen to music it'd be more lofi/classical themed. If it's just general listening its yeah like usually post malone (rap/hip-hop), eden (progressive rock/electronic) with kpop and like indie rock/punk mixed in. Ah, I see I see. I'm not a big reader, I used to read a bit more when I was younger, mostly just silly comics. I should try get back into it atp. Never read frankenstein even for school lol. Have you read any other classics or anything interesting recently?
Minezz Jan 14, 10:35 AM
Ah, I see. I forgot what the n64 used, but it saying the leaderboard isn't very useful. I remember the ps1/2 I think also used it - the memory cards you had to put in in-order to save aha. I do hope the vidya geams give me a good time too, vidya geams are meant to be fun after all !! Yeah, if you really enjoy a game u usually do end up 100%ing it. I rarely do that nowadays though cause they sometimes make some achievemnts or certain things just tedious and not very fun to do. ^^
I like anime of course, films & music and technology woo! I used to inline skate & ice-skate but I haven't done those in years, I sometimes get the itch to come back to them though... recently got interested in just old plays/classical theatre/films based on those plays, so I should maybe try go see a play and see how I like that. You?
Minezz Jan 11, 7:27 AM
Yeah, they're for sure great games. Personally I love the second the most, bioshock infinite seems to be the middle of the games from the few friends I've spoken to about the games, they like it but its not their fav, usually the fav goes to 1 or 2 aha.

Did the n64 have save states? I can't remember when they first got introduced, I'd assume it did though since I remember super mario 64 being long but I never got far in it as a kid/I played at a friends. Yeah, nowadays you can easily find it and emulate it. We're at the point of emulating ps4 !

Thank you for these 2 recs though! I'll look into them more and see if I play them or not and probably have to find the roms for the emulator which shouldn't be too hard now. Star Fox sounds like the one I'd enjoy the most though out of the two, but we love greatsound tracks in our vidya geams. The second one (bushi) does sound interesting in the battles playing like a platformer however.

I don't remember if you made your current profile before or after you sent me this message, but I like your current profile! ^^ I like fiddling with terminals, especially in Linux. Not like I'm a pro or something, I do most things from tutorials and guides.

Unlike most people, it wasn't Homura's obsession that got me. It was everything else. Sayaka's story left a lasting memory for sure, and I liked the concept of the magical girl system.

Back to your question, I liked Madoka and her story too, it made for a dramatic yet sad finale, and it was a smart idea that
(I put it in spoiler in case somebody else reads this)
I noticed the analogy but interestingly, it was the opposite of me. It bothered me. I don't like it when a film or series uses the Bible as a tool just because "it's cool". Same thing with Evangelion. I love both Madoka Magica and Evangelion but don't like this in them.

The other thing I noticed was the idea of balance between good and bad. I don't agree with this. I don't see what predetermines this, why will something really bad happen if I do a huge good deed or vice versa? Seems illogical to me. It's true that achieving big things usually require big sacrifices (like working hard for a successful career) but it can't be generalised. You can buy a little cheap toy for your kid and it may bring them enormous joy. A little sacrifice for you for a huge pay-off.

It's just that I find myself unable to get fully invested into like a battle if I have to do my turn, then wait, even if the waiting isnt long it just does not feel fluid to me.
I'd recommened you the bioshock games, not sure how u feel about shooters, granted this is a single player with shooter elements. I'd say its just very revolutionary. They're pretty oldish games(1&2) for nowadays standards, but they were unique and creative for its time and even today still hold up as just good atmospheric games with it's world building and good enemy designs!
Minezz Jan 7, 7:58 AM
Yeah, turn based is my least favourite thing in games. Everytime I've played one I just think the game would be better if it wasn't turn based lmao. For the RPG genre I do play them every so often, not like a big fan of them. Got to be in the mood really for one and every so often I'll enjoy one of them. ^^
Minezz Jan 6, 2:31 PM
I've heard of a couple of these, star fox, dragon quest & pokemon of course since they are pretty big IPs. But the others I have no idea what they are nor have I heard of them until now!
That's alot of games fr though that I haven't played a single one of aha.

Dragon Quest I dont think I'd ever give ago, not a fan of those style of games, as for pokemon I never found it interesting as a kid so I never played the games, much prefered yugioh!

Atleast we both got games to look forward to this year, hope they turn out fun and have decent replayablity !!
Minezz Jan 5, 12:15 PM
Yeah, they're really bad. Hit a street a friend of mine lives down. So, he had no power for a day and doesnt have a working fridge/freezer. Thank u!
You could say I am... I love atmospheric games in terms of single players. Like the metro games, bioshock. Big fan of surival horror as well, love the evil within. I love anything souls-like as well, big souls fan. But I mostly play shooters though since I like competitive games! I'm looking forward to the new fable, elden ring thing, witcher 4 could be good enough though I couldn't finish 3 no matter how many times I tried it and that's the only witcher I've tried, the new monster hunter will be fun for sure and the new gears game. For survival horror there is judas, deepest fear & a.i.l.a and they all look super good so yeah lots of stuff aha!! Wbu??
Minezz Jan 5, 9:22 AM
Ah, I see! Feeling the best you could've in the last 3 years is great news. Hopefully it stays that way and you have the best year u can. Yeah, for the most part ppl seem nice here and unjudgemental, but of course like anywhere there is some bad eggs. ^^;
We're not that far into the year, but so far yeah my year has been pretty good minus the flooding that appeared in my town that luckily didn't affect me! Looking forward to the rest of the year and seeing what new games come out aha!
Minezz Jan 4, 1:10 PM
