Hi! :3 Thanks for taking the time to read this :) My favorite anime are Death Note, Black Butler, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Steins;Gate, Haibane Renmei, Okami-san and Her 7 Companions, Clannad, and School Rumble...and every Miyazaki movie that exists xD
I'm a total sucker for anime with:
- deep dark confusing psychological plot or anything that really makes you think (eg. Serial Experiments Lain, Paranoia Agent, Haibane Renmei)
- moe, cute costumes or character designs (actually this is more like an extra bonus lol)
- pretty art/ unique art style
- steampunk or fantasy
- strong/smart badass characters
- variety of characters that are actually interesting
- that one dark character with a "past"(eg. Homura Akemi, Shadow the Hedgehog, Ciel Phantomhive, Misaka Ackerman)
- some degree of comedy
- shounen-ai romance (no hard-core yaoi!! DX)

So you're watching Gintama that's great.
Well let me give you an advice.
Just for the information.
The first Episodes and the following first Episodes can be quite average.
I know that it can be for many people. So maybe for you as well.
But it will improve a lot afterwards.
So I hope you will keep on watching Gintama.

I'm also curious as to what's in Erens base but too bad one manga chapter comes out monthly , meaning it will take awhile.
(Actually I'm not that far in manga , only after anime left)
well , can't be helped. It run out of material (they wanted to fully complete manga before having s2) Of course it will have cliched ending. Gore? Real gore anime is Elfen Lied and Higurashi series , these series are pretty damn awesome. (Except Elfen Lied , it was fucked up)
lol , since you didn't put them in spoiler , obviously I'll have no choice but look at your gifs while I scroll down. xD
uhh , Deaths was pointless because , those who died didn't matter much in show.
And gotta agree with you , When Marco died I thought ''Who the hell is Marco?''
He was soon forgotten after 1-2 eps , LOL.
As for Recon Corps (or whatever) members , Guess this was kinda shocking but show didn't introducted us to them properly , so wasn't that sad.
Series was aiming to become dark and horrofic as possible , Wouldn't say they failed at it but they didn't do great either.
Anime is somewhat good but manga is total crap , Art is horrible and too much conversations going on. And it's in #14 rank? You gotta be kidding me.
on August 9th you started a thread about the possibility of
Watamote getting a dubbed version. Back at that time, I
recall that nobody took you seriously. Also, I even recall that
one of the moderators suggested that you should not have
asked the question in the first place. But I recall that you
did not back down. Well, two days ago somebody found
out that a trailer for the Watamote dub has been released:

I am sure that we all agree that watching Watamote in the
original Japanese is best. But having a dubbed version makes
it accessible to many more people. There is a brand-new
thread that has been created on this subject in case you want
to follow it.
First thing that ever came out was Ghost in the Shell. the sequel is Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence, both are movies.
Ghost in the Shell 2.0 is an alternative version to the 1st movie, same story, but better animation, effects, etc.
The series and its sequel are considered alternate settings to the movies so they've got different stories and came out later, 1st is Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (there's a summary called The Laughing Man) and 2nd is Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig (summary is Individual Eleven).
The movie Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Solid State Society is a sequel to the series 2nd Gig.
I've chosen to watch the series first and haven't watched the movies yet but from what I've gathered it doesn't make a difference whether you start with the the movies or the series.
There's another arc of GITS movies called Arise, I don't really know much about those yet, but considering only the first of a total of 4 has come out so far, I'm sure it's ok to watch them last o.o
Hope that helps. ^^
