They say that loving you is my biggest mistake. But how can it be wrong if it feels so right? If I ever make a mistake, It's not that I love you…It's thinking that someday you'll love me too. ~Unknown
It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance, my name is pretty lengthy, but everyone IRL calls me Katsuro-chan ^^. Well, depending if you know about my profession anyway.
I’m a BICT and BSc graduate and have worked in the animation industry as a contracted concept artist and intern manager for four years. That experience had made me a lifelong fan of anime on top of my existing manga obsession (I got my first Manga when I was 2 years old). I also speak Japanese, English and Filipino as my three central languages and enjoy meeting new people, so feel free to add if you need a friend ^^.
There are also 3 major rules I abide by when watching anime:
1. Manga to Anime comparison, and if original, the contextual ability of the story to entice the watcher/reader.
2. I will never drop a single anime and give it a chance until the very end to ensure a fair justification of why I like/dislike a series (I had to force myself to finish Virus Buster Serge... =_=")
3. I love recommendations, and use anime to see what I can do to improve myself as a Mangaka as well as an overall artist. What is the style? How does it effectively add realism and enjoyability?
Anyway, theres also a rule I place in terms of debating about anime, which is plain and simple. That being:
If you are talking to me about an anime and rating it based on a few episodes (unless its currently running), or if you have dropped it far too early, aka people who drop after only 1 arc of many), then your opinion to me is null and void as it is most likely fragmented and subject to flaws.
Apart from that, Please come and sit down, I'll bring some tea while we converse in this wacky universe we call the Internet. I promise not to bite…much. Unless you are
MonZero, who is best ice-cream fetish <3.

Introduction:
Hello there, friend!
We at the Australian & New Zealand Anime Club are proud to present... Our very first newsletter!
This community was founded on the 28th of January - 2015, and since that time we've come a very long way.
You are only reading this because YOU made it possible by being a very important piece of what makes this club what it is.
That said, we are happy to announce that we're coming close to reaching the 1,000 Member Milestone!
It's a wonderful thing to know that there are so many fellow Aussies and Kiwis who love Anime and we hope that we only continue to grow from here on out.
About the newsletter:
So you might ask, what's this newsletter all about?
Well, great question. We've scratched our heads a few times and figured that this newsletter will be dedicated to letting you know that we're active!
Despite the substantial growth of our club, there is still a handful of you that we still haven't had the pleasure of getting to know.
We want you to understand that this is a safe and fun club, but if you're shy then we're not going to force you to participate, this is simply to remind you that there is a place for everyone at this club, so if you ever warm up - come and say hi!
Here's what's happening right now:
We have a wide selection of club activities that you can participate in, from anime discussion to club games or casual conversation.
Anyone in the club is free to make up whatever thread they feel would interest people!
What we hopefully have planned for the future:
GFX Competitions, Giveaways, Club Member of the Month, Gaming Groups and more!
So, other than that, there isn't much to say this time around but hopefully the next time we have to do this, there is much more to look forward to.
We again are thankful to have you, and hope that you come and have some fun with us sometime soon.
- Yours truly,
The Australian & New Zealand Anime Club.
