Vampire Knight got a second season because it was split cour, meaning it was meant to have two seasons from the beginning. Loveless is a complete fail in sales. I think the manga got a boost though.
Yeah, Nisemonogatari, the Monogatari series. To be honest, no one expected it to sell so much and it's not THAT popular here in the West.
Durarara sold 18k. Why this anime still hasn't gotten a second season is a mystery.
Bacono averaged 3.4k.
Darker than Black did 6.8k.
Hakuoki season 1 did 14k.
Season 2 did 12k.
Third season did 5k.
(You don't need to need the whole 75 pages) Just the first 2-3 pages should be enough. The you can follow the updates. They posts sales information as well.
This is regarding your question on the Karneval episode 8 thread:

Whats the source for this info and can you please keep us posted with the dvd sales? I'm really interested if could get a second season. What were the sales of shojo like ay, Uta no Prince 100% etc who got a second season?
Well, this page lists the Amazon Top 100 in Bluray and DVD and it also lists the current 'points' for Spring anime 2013. These 'points' can be seen as sales figures. So, 7,000 points means 7k sales so far. Don't pay much attention to the column next the '累積pt' column. That's just the nico nico preorders. That doesn't mean anything.
On the downside, it's completely in Japanese so it takes you a while to get used to it.
But hey, just find out the name of your favorite spring anime in japanese(from wikipedia or something) and find it in the Spring Anime Sheet on the link I gave you.(the one which looks sort of purplish)
For example, UtaPri Season 2 in japanese is:
うたの☆プリンスさまっ♪ マジLOVE2000%
You can see that both the UtaPri2 Bluray AND DVD are ranking well on amazon.
Karneval isn't listed there because this link I gave you only give points for the first volume any Spring anime.
Don't pay any attention カーニヴァル 2 [DVD] which has only 71 points. It's the regular edition. Pay attention to this: カーニヴァル 2 (初回限定版) [DVD] It's the limited edition. BD and DVD points combined for volume 2 show that it has 3,500 points or so.
Now, Stalker is usually correct but sometimes it overestimates or underestimates points for an anime by it.
This is seen in today's BD/DVD sales. Karneval's first volume went on sale a few days back and it's sold 7.3k. It was underestimated by 1000 points in the end. So I'm going to assume that that the 3.5k prediction for Karneval volume 2 is wrong and it will add say 1000 points so it will sell 4.5k.
Also, the points you see right now for volume 3 and above are not very useful. Usually you should only take Stalker points really seriously one month or so before it's released. Till then, it's a ballpark estimate.
And now, you asked how well UtaPri season 1 sold. It sold about 18k per volume. Those are astounding sales.
5-6k is enough for a sequel for an anime usually unless it's a really high budget anime which Karneval is not.
