I might have a look at Inuyashiki, sounds pretty cool!

Im not the biggest on slice of life :p I feel like they are all very similar to each other. I have discovered that i like anime that are set in the real world and something big happens (like something world changing for the characters). I also enjoy when you get to watch 2 sides fight from both angles so based on what you've said Akame ga Kill sound like a decent shout!

I remember someone told me not to get to attached to the characters though

I'm not big on the mechs either, but what i like it the psychological aspect of Code Geass :p
I've not actually watched that many fantasy anime, but if there's one you'd recommend i'd appricate it!

Also Black Lagoons bad-ass lol
