Why are Japanese girls so hard to talk to? I'm polite. Each time I approach one, I say "konichiwa". I always ask them about their favourite anime before talking about my waifu. They're usually really shy (which is cute imo) but I hate that I have to be the one to constantly engage in conversations with them, and how they usually get disinterested because I'm a white guy. Yes, I get that it's awkward because of things like Pearl Harbor, but I don't hold it against them. They weren't in Unit 731, so why judge them for it? Why can't the himes just realize that I respect Japanese culture and that I really want to be part of it.

I'm willing to marry a Japanese woman, adopt Japanese children and even live in Japan for the rest of my life. Hell, I'm even learning the language by watching undubbed anime. Plus, I cook a mean bowl of rice (for those who don't know, Japanese eat a lot of rice, I do too my Mom says that I act like a Japanese person because of all the rice I eat and the anime I watch).

Yeah I've been really close. Plan was to hit 1k last year but I just burnt out. I hit 900 with Dress Up Darling on March 29 last year

Oh yeah I hated it lol.
So firstly, the pacing. Holy shit this show is slow. Like I genuinely think if they just didn't spend an extra 3 seconds on every single shot in the show, they probably had enough time to finish off the show without needing a S4P3. There's a whole of lot unnecessary things in this show that really don't add to anything (e.g., Connie kidnapping Falco), but are there anyways and pad out the runtime.
I thought most of the decisions did not make sense in the show. So Eren's was just really dumb, especially with the flip-flopping of the side he was on. Marley teaming up with the Scouts was the most confusing choice Imo. Like they were literally in a war to get rid of the other race and now they're teaming up to beat Eren? Also Annie? Everyone's just cool with her now? She literally killed so many people, but ig she's one of the Marley-Scouts United Forces members now. Grisha asking Zeke to stop Eren doesn't make a whole lotta sense, as Grisha is doing everything because Eren's telling him to.
The show also lost the message of there not being a good side to war. Like that was the entire point of S4P1, but now ig the Marley-Scouts team are the good guys and Eren's the bad guy. I find it weird what the rest of the fandom thinks of this. Most of the fandom is on Eren's side, but the show tells the viewers to be on the Marley-Scouts side. For whatever reason, people hate the people working under Eren, for Eldia. They're just hella patriotic, like they're just fighting for their nation. It doesn't exactly make sense to me for the fandom not to like them.
The soundtrack is like, 5 tracks. I swear they're just reusing the same stuff from previous season that Sawano composed. The sound design is pretty Imo. One of the things that made me laugh pretty hard in the earlier episodes is when Magath started climbing at ladder to go back up to the ship. For whatever reason, they decided to play this squeaky noise.
The animation was better than S4P1, but that really isn't saying a lot. The heavy reliance on CGI is pretty annoying. The CGI is slow and heavy, they don't move through the frames well. They started drawing more stuff, but it isn't really that great. The drawing is all pretty inconsistent and both key and in-between animation isn't too good. The colours MAPPA uses aren't good, none of them being a clean, solid shade of colour. The shots are pretty boring. The most interesting it gets are when I'd argue it looks worse (e.g., Eren punching as the camera follows his arm; lacking in visual information) It's like a generic action show. Compositing sucks. It's pretty humiliating when S1 aired 9 years ago and looked better.
But yeah, that's pretty much all I have to say about it the show. I actually broke when I heard S4P3 was a reality, so I picked up the manga. I learned that S4P3 will cover 10 fucking chapters. TEN. If it takes them more than 4 episodes to finish this show, I honestly don't know what to think anymore.

What'd you think of S4P2 btw? Also how do you feel about there being a S4P3 lmfao?

Yeah it's honestly funny as fuck. Like I have to explain myself whenever I say that I didn't like it and thought it was really bad. Most of the time people don't even listen lmao. Personally, I don't really see what there was to like about it.
