Romantic Killer is a Netflix anime that manages to a loveless love show that manages to be a parody without seeming spiteful like other parody shows.

Unlike other "parody" anime, the main character Anzu isn't an unlikable character who gets loved for no reason, Anzu is just a kind girl who isn't looking for love but still has people who end up falling in love with her because of who she is. This makes it more understandable when characters like Hijiri and Tsukasa fall in love with her because it is not the plot that forcing them to love her, it's who she is and what ... she does. Other characters unfortunately fall into trope charcuteries like Hijiri who is a rickid who falls for someone who isn't impressed by money. These characters can make it boring to watch but they do get better as the show goes on.

The last few episodes are surprisingly darker compared to the rest of the series with the whole psychotic stalker ark and Riri nearly getting banished forever, yet it still manages to feel like the same show you were watching before with a more serious tone.

Overall, a good rom com that tries to push itself away from harem tropes without seeming to disliking of the genre just by having a character who doesn't want love, 7/10.

Kakegurui XX is the good follow up season to Kakegurui and manages to be both better and worse then the original in many ways.

The big highlight of this season are the villains in this season, most of the opponent in the first season followed a simple formula which was more based on stereotypical high school clicks where as this season focuses more on a gambling family. This makes the games much better to watch as most of the opponents are not only more insane then the previous group but also bring more complex games and great reactions. For example, the first episode "Gambling Women Again" ... has a psycho kid who rigs a game so that if you cut the wrong string, a guillotine will cut their finger. This episode is from the kids perspective and shows how intense the environment is which makes for an entertaining watch.

A big flaw in this season is over complication of the gambles. In the first season, the games were simple and well known games with a twist like rock, paper, scissors but your choices are based on cards or a game of memory but the loser removes their fingernails. The games were simple enough to understand and weird enough to become tense. However the gambles in this season are overcomplicated and unbelievable. An example being the tower episode which has Yumeko race the main villains assistant from the top of the tower to the bottom then back to the top, it includes a very convoluted puzzle system that requires overly smart logic to solve. it is so over the top that it makes the viewer not want to engage and instead leaves them confused.

Another flaw is the weird absence of Yumeko in show, in multiple episodes of the show there are times where Yumeko is put into background and lets the other characters take centre stage which is good for character development if it was consistent with the characters but that isn't the case. There are many examples of this season incorrectly characterising the cast. For example, Ryouta in season one goes from being dependent on others to someone who chooses their own fate and makes their own decisions. However in the third episode he immediately follows others orders unprompted. In the first season, characters grew around Yumeko and we

Overall, this season takes a weird change and losses sight of what made the show great but still manages to be a good show with entertaining gambles and well built tension. 7/10

BNA is great show with one the weirdest fall offs in history. The shows starts a bit slow but then kicks into high gear around the middle with some great and highly addictive episodes but the last two episodes kill all that momentum.

The animation is great and really make the fight scenes look impactful. BNA tells the story of Michiru, a teen who becomes humanoid animal who is able to change between animal and human form, she tries to carve a new life for herself in a mostly animal island where there is a lot of conflict.

The first few episodes show Michiru get ... comfortable in her new home and show her learning what her new body can do, this is also where she grows a relationship with a wolf character named Shirou who is secretly a famous legend. The middle portion of episodes really start moving the plot along and create some great episodes like the one with the attempted presidential assassination which delves deep into personal politics and emotions. These 7 ish episodes are all a 9/10 as they all have the best animation in the series, the best writing and character growth with a lot of set ups and payoffs.

One of the show sets ups is that there is a disease that can make any humanoid animal become a huge feral monster that is hard for even the main characters to defeat. This is an effective set up as the characters now have to find out how this can happen and how to solve it. This set up is ruined in the last two episodes where it is revealed that the "disease" is just when some animals get really pissed and that changes their DNA somehow.

The whole last episode is a cluster of bad ideas stuck together and really feels like they ran out of time especially with the reveal of the main antagonist being a humanoid animal himself and actually being the one who hurt another main character long ago. This was never set up and is just poor writing to get rid of the character.

Overall a great show that had a good story and concepts but fell flat near the end. 7/10

Seton Academy somehow manages to be one of the most bland shows with a great concept in existence.

The concept of two humans going to a school full of animals could have worked in theory but what they do with that is so mind numbing. The story of the show really revolves around a cooking class of diffrent species which again sounds interesting but it always gets sidelined by a diffrent and more boring plot.

Most of the core cast only really have one joke to tell the gets repeated over and over again like the Sloth (dies/lazy) or the Panda (Rich). The main character ... is really annoying and serves as an unlikable protagonist. The main love interest is so boring and one note that not only can I not remember her name, but I can't remember really anything about her.

The character designs are bad as all the males look like one to one copies of the animals while the females look like humans wearing animal ears and tails, while this might not seem bad, it can make seems really weird to watch like when the lion wants to date the gazelle which on paper sounds like a good concept but again just amounts to nothing and looks like an adult trying to date a teenager.

The comedy is also bad, with most of the comedy boiling down to character gimmicks and violence While a joke or to can land (like the sloth at the carnival or the mammoths strength) it really feels like they are just throwing stuff onto a wall until it sticks.

Overall, a bad show that could have been good if it wasn't wasted on bad characters. 3/10
