Damn the old bio was cringe! Unlike the new one, which is even worse.
Anyway. I used to watch anime back in the day to cope with the daily grind of a godless life in a post-communist country. Shortly after, I learned that we're literally living on the brink of the prophesized biblical apocalypse, or by some interpretations, we're in the middle of it (something something, 23.09.2017). Don't get me started on other conspiracies - 夢と陰謀 - Welcome to the NHK, literally.
I used to dream of visiting Japan since...2012? well, that dreamed turned into reality in the Summer of 2023. I celebrated my 26th birthday at the Ritz, Midtown Tokyo.
Perhaps, the highlight of my life. Not me wasting a year's worth of savings on a two week trip, but that was a once in a lifetime type thing. With the current economy, I'll probably see Japan again perhaps by...2043.
I don't watch anime that much anymore, if at all. Since 2020, I've watched Baki, Kengan Ashura, and Tokyo Revengers, but the days when I would binge entire series are long gone. I guess it's part of growing up? God bless the Japanese for the paradigms and culture shared overseas which saved many people in their darkest hours.
流星 by Tia playing in the background while I rest midway during a 14 km run at 2 am in the morning by the Kasai Rinkai park...
