It's hard to disagree with you, especially the more I think about it—the worse the final chapter gets. Even Japanese fans are saying it doesn't feel like the ending of a successful series, but more like the end of a canceled one. A lot of people are claiming that Akasaka-sensei just doesn't know how to write a proper conclusion, and that he was probably just tired of OnK and rushed through it. Honestly, I don’t think I’ll be reading any more of his work after this. I get that Japanese audiences often focus more on the "journey" and see the ending as just a bonus, but as a Westerner, it’s hard for me to overlook a bad ending, especially when it's wrapped up like that.

I think it was okay overall, but the ending felt really rushed and the execution was lacking. I’ve heard that the author might include a bonus chapter in the final volume, but I’m not sure that’ll be enough to fix everything. Apparently, there’s also a plan for a light novel that explores Kana and Akane’s backstories more, and maybe even their future after the last chapter. Overall, I didn’t think the story itself was bad—just the way it was wrapped up.

That's a valid point, I tried to fall on my sword a bit there since I started this in high school and was a cringe weeb back then.... I do plan on rewatching a good bit of my completed list to more objectively rate (as I personally feel I've gotten better at it outside of Oshi No Ko itself). Thank you for the non-aggressive feedback, I appreciate it! My review got taken down for "going against guidelines" so working on a new one.
