Ye haha xd I've read tho that the manga currently doesn't have more than 10 eps worth of material or so, it isn't really that far ahead.
Ye, I don't play anything on Battlenet currently, and not much on steam but I'm playing more recently my name there is Lyubit too I guess
mostly if I'm playing then it's League :3
That's the case for me haha, like I can't not give such a great story a 10, exactly! xd the way they dealt with their world and handled the adventure and the characters in it is so captivating, and as you said, it literally took me into their world, I fell in love with many sequences, and the flow of the story can't get any better imo, even when they stopped going down because of Riko's dangerous injury and the story started exploring a new character, the whole thing didn't feel like a filler or boring, it was well integrated into the whole theme and flow of the story and made total scene and contributed to some more world building. At some point, I was feeling like this was being too easy, but after they went further down below the third layer things changed greatly and I guess at this point I was totally sold on this lol.
I agree, I didn't mean they are similar to such level, but mostly in some of the story's aspects that I enjoy, that sense of mystery and exploration and world-building at least at the beginning, again I don't mean they are that similar, ofc not, it's just that they reminded me of SnK and created some familiar vibes.
ye exactly, and especially since it's a show that actually should be recommended you know, but ye I really didn't feel embarrassed by most of the scenes at all, that's a good way to put it in.
True, and like getting the whole package of story, music, voice acting and animation in one go is an incredible thing, while in manga you will lose some of these aspects, but there still ppl who enjoy manga more than anime so I would say it's a personal taste, for this story I'm not really sure as I said before, but the manga is highly rated, but I wouldn't say that I'm dying to know what's going to happen but more so I wanna enjoy it to the maximum, and spoilers don't seem to be an issue lol.
Ahaha That's the best, nothing beats finishing an anime in one shot xd it crams all the feelings and events and creates a great 'out of reality' mood, glad I waited on this one instead of watching it weekly.
Ah sadly I didn't feel such a vibe, I don't recall if I have played any RPG on ps1 lol, but I get ur idea, that must have been great xd
I was so into the events that the scenes of her naked didn't really bother me at all lol, tbh I took them for granted, and was like ye it's your normal anime ecchi scenes but they were kinda different, like as if they are just being mature about it as if it's not a big deal (aside from him getting a bit shy about it) so it didn't really catch my attention in a bad way, I think in overall the show focuses so much on many good aspects that it can distract you from such a thing.
Your first point is interesting tho, I dunno, like I'm really picky about stuff like this, I mean when some story doesn't show a certain thing or develop it properly but I honestly didn't feel like they needed to show anything more, because for some reason I got the idea that they were close enough from the beginning, and it was already showing how much he cares more about her near the end, to be precise at the beginning of the story right before they decided to go down they felt like good friends but nothing was strong or unique, and it seems that his main goal to go down was to understand the nature of his origin not because he mainly wanted to go with her, and she also didn't invite him to do so, but as you have seen near the end he was way more attached to her, what I mean is they didn't really focus and remark this kind of development, that's true, but it was there, this anime didn't really show several things but it still indicated them, personally I really like this kind of focus, and (I'm sorry if I keep bringing it up) it kinda of reminds me of Attack on Titan's style of focus and pacing, the story might not show certain things, like the 3 years of training, character relationship, or development and perspective but when the time comes, their impact is there and they aren't nonexistent, I guess that's how I feel about it.
I wanna start the manga too, but I'm not sure if it's gonna be able to capture the same amazing setting like the anime did, especially that it depends on a lot on the visuals and even the music of facing the unknown and discovering new things, early to judge but I don't really mind waiting, especially if they aren't going to take long.
I already knew it was good and was waiting to watch it, but it wasn't just good, it actually was my type of thing so to say lol, that indeed surprised me, didn't expect it to deal with the world around it and its main adventure in that way, which is so to my liking.
I loved the world-building, the whistle system and the variety of characters in it (especially Lyza and Ozen) it gave a sense of huge respect and depth when you think about their achievements and how difficult the task is and compare it with the current events. The "Physics" of this abyss blew me away, the concept of the the curse is so damn interesting! loved it, hell!, even Lyza's talks at the beginning of each episode were so intriguing and full of great points to think about in general. Yeah lots of its aspects came out of nowhere and I loved each of them, was expecting a good but much shorter story, but got a story on a grand scale that is extremely my type of thing (say something like Attack on Titan, and ye it has that same sense of mystery and deadly challenges, even the narrating of the information about the world had the same vibe to it, maybe that's what got me hyped lol, I love when a story state raw facts and information to set itself up and expand on them later). that's without mentioning the spot on OST and the great art and animation, perfect!
