I'm a former Japanese-English translator who tried to deal with manga and novel translation for the now completely defunct TOKYOPOP (they edit heavily). I'm now in-between jobs, waiting to take over the website duties at a startup and doing tutoring on the side in Japanese and English. I am a long-time fan of Japanese language and culture (and blog about them), and I watch a fair bit of anime, read manga and toy with Japanese import video games, which keeps my dialog skills sharp in a wide variety of ways.
All in all, I have lots of reasons for wanting to meet new people and contribute to the lives of others. A pleasure meeting one and all. - J
