Philosopher prince hailing from Hy-Breasal and the foremost moe sorcerer. This Realm and I are at odds, the flowers of my heart struggling to grow in this clockwork world, yet they break through the concrete of convention nonetheless, and will bloom erelong. I humbly welcome you, esteemed guest, to this forlorn manor of mine.
my all-time favorites:
media:
Ratings are entirely subjective; I also am rating one entry per series to encapsulate my overall opinion on it. Rating OVAs and separate seasons feels redundant to me. Anyways this is the scale:
10 - literal greatest thing ever
9 - tangibly life changing
8 - nuclear bombs of kino
7 - phenomenal, the beginning of jebcore; truly special series to me
6 - amazing, enjoyed it a lot
5 - really good, consider me a fan
4 - good, I like this
3 - enjoyable, I liked experiencing it or appreciate it on some level
2 - don't care, neutral feelings
1 - all degrees of dislike
Ahhh that makes sense, then. Fair point made. Tbf there might have been a window of time in the past where my ratings would've went like yours, maybe 😅
I see. It’s quite unorthodox, yea. Sorry for late reply, btw.
For me, personally, there’s a pretty huge gap between my top favorites Madoka Magica and Kara no Kyoukai compared to other favorites like Mushishi and Gurren Lagann, yet i find no reason to lower the ratings of the latter two for that reason alone, because I feel like said shows wholeheartedly deserve that personal rating of 10/10 regardless of that aforementioned gap. Plus having consumed far more media myself, I can’t exactly have quite as much as predisposition with personal ratings of favorites.
One is a visual novel by Key, and the other is an idol series based off a trading card game. It's quite a peculiar pairing (based, honestly). Oh, you mean the nature? Technically the former is usually suited for usually older people, while the latter has a younger target audience.
TLDR, it's your choice in the end and I'm not the one to dictate that. It's just that I personally find this case rather fascinating, tbh...probably due to the nature of said two titles creating this curious gap.
Well, I mean...idk how the fuck that part is happening to begin with.
How two whole titles somehow widening the gap necessitates lowering everything else is besides me. Even I don't dare do that with some of my "extreme" personal favorites.
It does make me question about being too busy to rate everything but somehow have the time to change all the existing scores.
It's your personal choice ig, though I'd advise that you might as well reset all of them or even just have them all unrated, while you still can with a relatively low number of entries. It's too late for me to do that for my own side even if I wanted to, sadly.
Dude I look away for just a few days and I already see you lower your ratings even further and again changed your rating standards with which I was sure was already set in stone, but I guess not. Is everything eventually gonna be like Cozye's ratings soon?
yep, it's also really huge. i expect around 1000 hours for myself
it's probably the most enjoyable piece of media ive ever experienced so far, the osts especially. and im only at the beginning
after experiencing that kind of story-telling, i dont know how to go back to gacha story-telling 💀 only excuse is to read it in jp
