Rating scale
The main question I ask myself when rating a show is ''What is fun to watch?''
1 : Considering MAL doesn't let you gives a score of 0, I treat 1 as if it was 0. A show given this rating is pure shit all the way trough. It doesn't have ANY redeeming quality. This is reserved for the worst of the worst.
2: Overwhelmingly shit altough a show given this rating does have one or a few redeeming qualities. Even a catchy OP is enough to move an animé out of 1 territory and into 2.
3: A few more reedeming qualities than a 2, still way more bad than good though.
4 : Have some significant qualities but it's dragged down by even more serious flaws.
5 : The ''meh'' rating. Not offensive enough to deserve one of the lower ratings but too bland to deserve any higher.
6 : The passing grade. More good than bad but it does have significant flaws holding it back.
7 : The ''they're is potential for something really good here but a couple of things really bug me about this show'' rating
8 : A show given this rating is one I thoroughly enjoyed. I can still see some flaws but they're not serious enough to really spoil the fun.
9 : Same as 8 but w/o any significant flaws.
10 : The best of the best. Any flaw within the show is so minor than it's barely worth mentionning. I try to give these as sparingly as possible.
Things I like in my animé
Epic Music. Characthers with a spine. Swords and Magic. Romance. Deep Characthers. Meaningful drama.
Things I dislike in my animé
Repetive jokes (ex MC's always getting hit for something that is clearly not his fault) Excessive fan service. Cop out ending. Spineless characther, especially when it's the MC. Filler. Pointless drama that could easilly be resolved if the characthers simply TALKED to each other.
