Even with all the downvotes from haters that Re:Zero has received (seinen), Frieren isn't even close (shounen). It's clear which work is superior.

It seems like they just didn't really cared overall and were milking the franchise vexsue seasons 3-5 were near identical with their formula of three villainesses attacking ans Yellow Thing talking then down. Symphogear has cult following in Japan so that would make sense.
You have this wrong impression because you needlessly compare Tsubasa to a character that is singlehandedly dragging the show down. It's not that Tsubasa is weak or incompetent. It's Yellow Thing, that excels at absolutely everything and that's the problem.
Anyway, Tsubasa's true charm lies not in her combat prowess but her own depth. She is constantly struggling, enduring her own personal trauma, which includes survivor's guilt and losing a soulmate amongst other things. We as an audience genienly feel sorry for her and realize, that inside she is fighting demons most of us cannot even imagine. We geniuenly root for her. If you put Yellow Thing next to her, it will only make her look bad as she makes everything look bad. I mentioned before, that she literally drove Tsubasa to suicide attempt with her insensitive remark and in the fifth season did something quite similar when Tsubasa went through the same character arc again. It seems like she is actually making her more depressed and I don't care wether it was deliberate or not.
But if we are talking about plot holes, then my favorite was probably from 3rd season, when we found of that Commander has absolutely noone second in command, so he can't reinforce girls in person, because his absence would completely break the chain of command.
Anyway, I wouldn't say that she did not cared about Miku at all, but I would REALLY love to see her in hypothetical scenario, where Miku is killed and Yellow Thing faces her murderer. Major theme of 2nd season was that she is supposedly NOT a naive hypocrite, so I would really like to see how this plays out.
And we still have no way of knowing whether their announcement was a sequel, reboot or even anime at all.
And point taken, her color is more that of urine.
Yeah, that berserk mode in which her arm grew back out of fkin nowhere. She even attracts plot holes. ffs
