Hmm I think you will LOVE moe kare, lots of comedy, drama and a couple of tears every now and then! I would seriously put it in top five if the art were maturer (wrt the shoujo).

Good drama with smut is desire climax, little comedy thrown in but really it reads a bit like a soap opera... a new challenge thrown in all the time.

Additionally, zettai kareshi (in my top 5) has all the elements you're looking for.

Sorry, before making these recommendations, I haven't gone through your reading list, possibly you've read one or all of the above. I'm in a bit of a hurry right now, but I'm planning to create a blog post about the best titles I've read in the past 5 years which should address this request!

Aah there we go... I havent read or added it to my lists coz it's a shounen... I'm still waiting to exhaust all moderately palatable shoujo romance titles up until the late nineties before I start picking up shounen!

Hahaha I also just happened a gander at your just added and I see you've been motivated to pick up hana ni arashi and boku wa kisu... you will not regret either of these titles!

Ahoy sailor! Thanks for your comments on my comments on kyou koi wa... hehe. I agree with everything you're saying especially making it generic... I think I sort of know the ending coz I follow a blog which does summaries and I sort of got spoiled there. I don't think I'll be finishing it anytime soon. TBH I really REALLY dislike Hibino. She is weak and her libido is totally out of control around Kyota hahaha!

Horimiya eh... I will check it out, since you say it deems a coveted top 5 slot. You say you (sleepily) checked out my page, but I wonder what there is to check out apart from the top 5 lists and my anime/manga lists coz my about me has been in shambles for a long loooong time now! I keep putting it on my to do list "update MAL about me", but there's always an otome game to play, or Supernatural episodes to watch... or nails to paint (hehe that's what I assume you assume girls do a lot ^^)
