That's great news! I'm happy for you man! You took a really long time to think about it, which actually helped you in the end.
Do you need to volunteer though? Because from what you told me a while back, you seem to have had enough experience already that could enable you to at least secure a position somewhere.
I just answered my own question by seeing the rest of your response. But it's still surprising. Because maybe sometimes you'd want to go to the countryside with your family or friends on one of your breaks, and maybe you had to drive. But it's at least good that you've taken up on that. I am currently fixing my CV and everything while trying to build up connections in the industry and get more knowledgeable.
Did you manage to get the job you were looking for?
I will have to rewatch that episode as I am not too sure about what you’re on about, but definitely the sound was ill fitting in certain episodes. But I have to admit, I did like the OP of Oshi no Ko.
Exactly! If you find anything interesting that catches your eye (anime), do let me know
Most of the time the music is fine, I wouldn’t outright call it horrendous. But it’s just sad how very little attention is paid to it. It’s something that is mostly there to feel the gal. But when you come across a show that pays special attention to it, it’s really something to remember.
And that’s what’s sad nowadays, everything is so commercialised that the ART aspect of things has slowly dissipated. Everything is just mass produced junk and it’s getting stale. I always see some shows that are genuinely good and I think to myself “imagine if x show had unique character design.” It would elevate the feel of the show. I was watching Ghost in the Shell 2 the other day (2 months ago) and I just thought about how pretty it was to look at. Each character design, background and etc was so unique. The OST too, I wish we could get more things like that today. Not the show itself, but shows with unique character designs. I’m not a big fan of AoT, but at least they tried with their designs.
5? I haven’t enough anime to know, but certainly I always find myself scrolling back to old stuff.
For me personally, in terms of execution, obviously good animation is key, but the music is also important. I’m tired of hearing bland piano chords in every anime these days. I am also tired of seeing colourful character designs. Almost every anime character these days look the same.
Like you say, the issue is not only with anime, it's with games, series and movies as well. Some great games keep getting rehashed, great series that should have ended after a season or two get 10 seasons, movies get terribly directed and so on. That's why I can respect certain studios in anime like Madhouse, Production I.G and Kyoto Animation who really focus on the craft of what they're doing. Especially Kyoto instead of pumping and dumping (mass producing) like Mappa for example.
I used to watch ALL the seasonal anime just a year ago. It was crazy, but overtime I realised that I just don’t have time and also 90% of the stuff that comes out these days is really bad and I don’t want to sit there and watch things that I don’t enjoy or are at least watchable. But I seriously do need to start reading more manga and balancing out my list. Oyasumi Punpun has been on my planned to read for 2 years now lol.
