✨ @Izanagi777
I heard that they adapted till the end with some minor changes here & there!
I see! That's sad...for me. :(
I really fell in love with the series..
(since I can't find any manga reading site where it's complete)
As for Germany at the World Cup: i don´t think changing out a few players would have mattered. Things beyond football got ignificantly broken behind the scenes and as professionals they won´t tell us. The Erdogan thingy with their turkish players didn´t help for example plus their preparation went totally wrong. Neuer didn´t do anything wrong as far as i saw. If anything they should have used more players from the Confed Cup last year. They went there with new faces, won the whole thing anyway yet very few made the WC team which is a tough thing to explain to these players plus it increases the pressure on the older guys. To be honest in terms of football, this was worse than 2004. Keeping up your system and just being too stupid to get the damn ball into the net is one thing, losing simply because you are INFERIOR to Mexico is another. Mexico won because they are a better team right now, and Mexico isn´t all that great.
Japan did so well against Belgium but the belgians responded like Champs. I feel like this is where being able to rest your starters against England paid off. They turned it around mainly because they were fresher. This is also why Japan went full risk mode at 2-2. They wanted to force it as they felt they couldn´t hold the draw for another 30 minutes. Honorable way for Japan to go out and an impressive comeback from the mighty belgians. Colombia scared the hell out of England even without James and it is fair to say they probably would have won with him. For England it was a fortunate survival but also important for them to finally win a penalty shootout. With their penalty history i think it should help them a lot having exercised some demons of the past.
As for your question regarding Spain v Russia. I don´t know if Russia deserved to go though, but in my opinion Spain definitely deserved to go out. Their "Tiki-Taka" is just dead. It used to be so exciting and oriented towards the goal. Now it turned into hundreds of meaningless passes in midfield and i basically fall asleep when i watch them. I certainly was happy they were out. They turned from one of the most exiciting teams to watch into the least watchable top team of them all so i can certain do without them. Russia managed to keep Spain to a minimum when it comes to chances so their defensive concept was good. Spain should have had a penalty in the 114th though so a bit of favoritism towards the home country was involved. Russia if you will deserved it afterwards cause all their statements were humble, grateful and full of respect. They knew they got lucky and showed full awareness which makes them a likeable underdog in my eyes. I kinda want them to take down Croatia too now lol
Seems like MAL is slowly but surely recovering entirely so we should have forums again next week or so :)
yeah Germany was weird and simply horrible. They self-destructed somewhere between the end of qualifying and the test matches ahead of the world cup and nobody knows what happened -.- They went five winless games in preparation and looked awful (one of those matches against Austria and we beat them 2-1 so a huge moment for us beating the world champs hehe) and couldn´t correct a thing in time for the world cup. Korea was the biggest shocker since it is so atypical for Germany to not even feed off a game going their way. They won against Sweden to stay alive with the last kick of the game and it sparked absolutely NOTHING. They are a mess now but knowing Germany, it won´t last long.
I´m happy how England plays. I follow them my entirely life and it´s been a long time i saw them play like that in a big tournament. Colombia is strong though and have amazing fans, this is the game to survive i guess because with the winner facing Sweden or Switzerland it feels like England/Colombia play for a semifinal place already with all respect to the others.
Belgium and England both played their benches in that match and it was a weird game to watch. You could see both wouldn´t mind finishing 2nd but when chances were created the competitiveness of professional athletes took over. It was a gamble. Belgium is capable of defeating Brazil imao but with their not so glorious history in world cups, i think they made the right decision to win and go for an "easy" Last 16 v Japan.
Apart from England i also support Japan. I certain interest in japanese culture lead to me becoming an anime fan and ending up on MAL too so i´d feel weird not to care about Japan at all. Them making it through the group is a huge success for them so it´s good for those guys although they might get crushed by Belgium lol
my semifinal predictions are:
France v Brazil
Croatia v England
And from here i have a feeling France will end up as Champions but you never know. Brazil, Belgium, England and Spain are all capable to defeat everybody it seems and Croatia looks like THE best team so far. I still kinda struggle to see them win the whole thing just because it would be something totally out of the ordinary. As you can see from my predictions i do have them knock out Spain though!
How about your predictions? ^^
cool, we have profiles and therefore comments so we can get in contact again ^^
How has life been since the MAL knockout? Thoughts on the World Cup s far? :)
I will wait about a week for your reply ;3
