Right of the bat, the only thing these two anime have in common is the "bio-boosting" armor they both have. For some people that maybe enough. - Figure 17 is for an older audience and follows the growth/coming of age of a young girl. The story itself is about the growth of the main character. The action, Impressive as it is, is more of a side story. I found it very emotional, with the highest highs and the lowest lows. - Guyver is a more typical shōnen. With a fight scene every episode, the series is more about the development of his "Power" and in turn himself. - Both have some sort of alien threatening the world. Both have alien technology that enhance human performance through an armor like thing. Both have battles that grow more "epic" through the episodes. - I watched them both, and though there very different, I found myself relating the two.
