I have just read your reviews and i agree with you. SAO is very enjoyable for many viewers could relate but not for mainstream haters and old people (i mean those who watched anime before and early 2000s.

(this is a story of mine 'bout sao so if you're not interested, dont read anything below this)

The first anime that i consider as an anime is Code Geass though im still too young and im not updated to the anime world so i stopped watching afterwards as me and my friends only knows about Code Geass then after 4 years, my friend told me about this new anime that went viral, he said, and after i watched it, i was like "deym! sci fi never cease to impress me (not ironic)" then after it finished airing, i started to find other anime that resembles SAO and what I found is .hack which they said SAO copied its concept but I cant find any gadget responsible for making the protagonist to be in a game so i was convinced that it some kind magical incident where they are sucked into a comp game until later when i read that its also a VRMMORPG and when i said "later" I meant "a while ago" xDD.

So yeah, I highly appreciate SAO, despite learning the flaws I never cared before until I met some classmates whose watching anime becomes a part of their life. Because it brings me back to anime world that lots of sci fi animes failed to do so (ie gundam and FMA), becomes my foundation as I make friends in my school (i just transferred school that time) and learn new animes

I just feel like sharing this cuz I think you're one of the few who enjoyed SAO and are open minded ready to accept criticisms without actually changing your opinion bout it. Sorry for a long comment

Nice SAO review, Yes I dislike those series but the way you explain about the flaws in the series. Show how objective you are.

Brace yourself,haters are coming...Btw agree about asuna in ALO.She was one of the best players in SAO but then suddenly she became a "damsel in distress" she became as simple as a person can be...it was totally unnecessary
