I can speak polish, but it's severely deteriorated over time. I rarely talked with my mother, and now that I'm in college and 2 hours away I have no need to use it. I could still get around, but I'm not as fluent as I'd like to be. I was also never taught to read it, just speak it. Kind of sad no? I was dual raised, from age 4 I learned english and polish at the same time.
I took spanish for 3 years during middle and high school, but I didn't like it so I stopped and now it's long gone.
I'll make sure to ask you if I need some help, thanks!
Sorry about the late response, I haven't been on really due to being away from home. I completely understand what you're saying. I think the reason I'm slacking off now is that I'm realizing my childhood ends next year. And that's something I don't want to accept yet, so I'm saying screw it to everything until reality forces my ass to do so. Last year I didn't really study at all, but this year I plan to spend at least an hour a day studying japanese. It may not be a lot, but it's an improvement over last years 0 hours a day.
I think I'll end up studying into the summer next year too. I kind of exaggerated about forgetting everything. I can easily recall all the words and structures I've used in the past. I proved that today by texting my classmate for a few hours. However I will admit that I have forgotten kanji. If I see it I'll know what it means, but I probably couldn't write it from memory. Also trust me I won't be going to many parties, if any. I am not the partying/drinking/druggy type of person. Probably due to my introverted nature. This has reminded me I need to relearn polish. I'm originally from poland, but I grew up in the US since I was 4. So my mom only taught me to speak it, and not read and write it. And now, I could only barely get by speaking it. I think there's a trip in my near future.
Eh I believe I'll be fine. I only work at the pace my school gives me, plus I'm going to go live there for about 5 months next year. Language is kind of my thing, so I'm not too worried about being lazy during summer. I'm a very lazy person when it comes to vacation time. >_>
Sorry, not on my own computer right now so I don't have the japanese keyboard option. I only know 3 of those kanji, Warui, Uchi, and dou. I don't what they mean together and I dont know what you said. I only know like 250 kanji. . .so yea, not really able to understand. >_<
I noticed that you got Major set as completed and was wondering if you have seen any of the latest chapters floating around on the internet. I've been trying to find some but with no luck. Latest one I've seen was 744. I've also skimmed up to 736 but then there's a gap in scans online. Also wondering what you think of this thread here that I made: http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=249307&show=0#post1
It's what I like about Major being a seasonal anime and not a continuous one like Bleach/Naruto. No fillers, so the anime is just as good as the manga (with the exception of Gintama lol).
I've started watching Hajime no Ippo's anime... I can't say I can start reading the manga right now because I'm too busy. I mean, I still read mangas but I haven't started reading a new series for quite some time now, so I'll be sticking with Hajime no Ippo's anime for the mean time. Good to hear about the latest chapter though. I guess I'll put that as the third one on my priority list lol.
I like that one too. My blood boiled the most during the Kaido-Seishu one. Though that's a good thing since it really motivated me to keep up with the manga lol.
I started watching Hajime no Ippo. I say, Ippo is a good person. I like him. :) Though I probably won't be reading the manga for a while, I heard that the latest match is taking forever to finish... so I'll probably wait until that match finishes before I start reading the manga too. I've seen Prince of Tennis, but I'm not sure whether or not it followed the manga... did it? I liked Ryoma though. He reminds me of Goro, though I'd prefer Goro any day.
Gintama is awesome! For about a year after discovering the series, I kinda stayed away from it because I didn't like the description. The aliens part pretty much kept me away from it, but when I decided to watch it... I was in for a surprise. Now I've seen all the episodes at least 5 times lol. :D The Prince of Tennis parody they did is one of the reasons why I love Gintama so much lol.
Hmm... Like which part did you like best, when Goro and his little league years, his time at Kaido, or his time at Seishu, minor league baseball, the World Baseball Cup, or the MLB.
That's too bad! Oh well, there's really nothing we can do about it now. But
when are you planning on taking the Level1 exam, then?
I've been meaning to read and watch Hajime no Ippo, actually. I guess now that Cross Game is finished I can finally start on a new sports anime...
