Hey everyone, IronBerserk here with a message about how I appreciate any constructive comment that anybody is willing leave me, positive or negative. Oh, and I do enjoy simple positive comments, so feel free to give me some of those and boost my already massive ego :P lol!
I like reading manga and watching anime, but as simple pass times. I've seen some of the lists of people on this site and they simply put mine to shame. I only like to read and watch the most popular, highly rated, and/or classics among the anime and manga community. So very obscure stuff just isn't my thing unless it is highly recommended to me.
I tend to rate even on-going manga once I've caught up with them and seen that the series has been going on for quite a while. In other words, any ON-GOING manga that is below 10 volumes will not be rated. Ratings could change if quality gets better or worse. Also I would like to point out to my readers that I have higher standards for manga than I do for anime. It is exactly like the comparison of novel versus movies. Novels will most of the time always be better due to them having more time and less restriction in adding massive detail that expands the story and characters within a specific world. The same logic applies to manga in my opinion. I have come across much more masterpiece manga's than I have for anime's and almost all manga masterpieces surpass the anime masterpieces, with a few exceptions of course. Fullmetal Alchemist being one of them since I actually prefer the first anime adaptation to the manga original adaption...but not by much.
One final thing, everyone on this site should read Berserk by Kentaro Miura. There is a reason why it's ranked number 1 greatest manga of all time...it's simply the greatest piece of literature ever written and I've read lots of books from classic novels, to comic books, to graphic novels, etc... Trust me, just read Berserk! You will not regret it :)

2003: a good anime
brotherhood : one of the best series of all time
,my point is that most of the villains in 2003 are irrelevant and overall disappointing.
brotherhood has functional villains but most of the villains are really great like envy or the fuherer.
besides dantes is a pretty shitty villain and her conclusion is one of the worst writing i ever seen.
2003 is my favorite version but its very flawed and brotherhood is near flawless but i neither 2003 is more mature the series just pretends to have a more oscure tone but that's all, it only contains it superficially .
and besides most of the conclusions of the are trash or very poorly written.
brotherhood is better in every department even the most because 2003 has a very poor use of its music.
but yeah i disagree with most of the things and even the lust of 2003 is very simplistic and overall not a great villain and the end she was irrelevant to the story.
and in brotherhood there is not a single character that is irrelevant to the show
and its very tragic the ending
although there are some homunculus that are not that relevant to the story ( like lust, gluttony or sloth) what the 2003 version did is not so great because they are as irrelevant as the ones in brotherhood ( the main difference is that they have more screen time but in the end they add nothing to the plot ) the reason why is not a problem in brotherhood is because those homunculus are more like functional villains. it would be a flaw if the show only had functional villains but the show has amazing and very deep villains like wrath, envy ,father ,greed, scar, etc ( that are way better than the ones of 2003 ).
btw: most of the conclusions of the homunculus in 2003 are really stupid or dum and you notice how not one homunculus was relevant for the show. ( the only good homunculus was lust ).
brotherhood wins, baby !!!!!
but brotherhood is far superior than the original anime
Seeing all those 10 and 9's really makes me wonder if i watched a different show from those people.
Actually never mind it's just classical MAL where you find the reviews are usually full of bullshit written by people who actually don't put thought into them.
You pretty much said everything i thought.
An interesting tid bit, I read once that some of the volumes where done in dark pencil to save time.

Madoka was kind of the weakest character in the series, so hopefully we get more development from her in the third movie.
