Ineptia roughly translates into “absurdity” so don’t take me too seriously.
I don’t have the patience to write long reviews or blog posts about the anime I watch. However, I leave first impressions, opinions and thoughts in the tags on my list. The comments are there to both remind me what the anime is about and to explain why I gave the score that I did. The comment may reference something specific within the series, so it may not be understandable to someone who has not watched it. I try not to include any spoilers though, so you don’t have to worry about that. I don't rate OVAs.
A general rundown of my scoring rubric is as follows:
1-4: I must have had a visceral hatred toward this anime.
5: A below-average production. There are few if any redeeming qualities.
6: The anime is just average. I’m not very interested and I might have considered dropping it.
7: I found it watchable and maybe I even liked it. I have some reservations though.
8: Something about this series really connected with me. The anime has strong characters and a solid plot. I can recommend it unabashedly.
9: An anime that really stands above others in its genre.
10: The best in its field. In my eyes it is a classic, the standard that I hold other anime to.
My scores change occasionally and I’m especially interested in finding substitutes for my 10s and new titles for my favorite anime list. I choose favorite characters based on traits that I find admirable or personalities I can relate to. I might also select them because of their personal charm or charisma. Since I scarcely read manga I don’t list favorites and I’m not that into selecting favorite people.
I have a pretty eclectic taste so there aren't many things that I’d refuse watching solely based on their theme or eccentricity. I generally give everything I watch a chance to impress me but I can probably tell where the series is going within the first few episodes. This is made evident by my huge list of dropped anime. If I know I won’t like it, I’m not going to force myself to watch it, and I certainly won’t continue it unless someone gives me a pretty compelling reason.
If you would like to know anything about my interests or opinions, or if you want to ask me a question, feel free to leave a comment or a message and I’ll reply back shortly. If you find me to be an agreeable person, send me a friends request and I’ll accept it, but I can’t promise that I’ll be starting any conversations or discussions.

That's all!! :)
Happy second birthday!!!
I don't want to lose ingame anymore. :C
I would have no problem at all if you disagree with me, honestly. In fact, I'm always interested to hearing a person out when they have an opinion different than my own. Of course the backhand to that is a lot of people become assholes on the internet when they come across a different opinion. I really don't think that is going to be an issue at all with you.
I fully understand your waning interest in abstract anime: 'XX. Abstract Anime: It is hard to do well. Symbols mean different things to different people.' That is very much the truth. Although, I guess I'm on the opposite side of the spectrum; I'm more idealistic than pragmatic, and I really get into abstract and philosophical stuff.
I also get the distinct feeling aesthetics don't matter as much to you... judging by the lower scores for stuff like FLCL, Fate/Zero and Sword of the Stranger, which I gave high scores at least partly due to their visual quality. I got to agree with your post for FLCL though, that review has got it wrong; FLCL's greatest strength is that it exploits the benefits visual medium, so it is in fact the furthest away an anime series can get to a piece of literature.
Hm... how well versed in Patlabor do I have to be to appreciate Patlabor 2: The Movie? I've been meaning to watch it because I hear it is one of Oshii's best, if not his best, but a bit hesitant because I didn't know if I should familiarize myself with the Patlabor lore first.
Also, I enjoyed reading some of the tags on your list.
I should probably re-watch the Ghost in the Shell TV series, because while I have the first movie rated higher than the first season... it has been so long since I've watched the show, that I don't know if I would prefer it over the movies now or not; although I can safely say I think I would prefer it over the second movie. I really do love the abstract nature of the first movie however; the cold direction of the movie was appropriate as well.
That bit about all Mushi being evil also brought a smile to my face... though I don't agree.
I am, of course, responding to what you said on the 'Comment On The Above User's Favourite Characters' topic. I'm sure you figured that, but I just wanted to add context to my comment, just in case...
"Nipponppoi" is a word I coined (at least I have never seen it used before). "Nippon" is of course the Japanese name for Japan, and the "ppoi" is an informal way of saying "rashi" or "is like", so it means "quintessentially Japanese" or "Japanesque".
And if that's (for that double-dip recession) the case, we might as well go into foreign currency. Which means, on that note....
Did you see the RMB in the last couple months o_0/?
Went up so high, it was ridiculous. The HK people use to send stuff up to the mainland cause they didn't have anything, now they're invading HK as tourists cause they're in the money right now.
