My rating system:
10 - If I rate something a 10, it means that something about the show puts it above the word "masterpiece" for me. The show must be perfect in absolutely every way, hit all the right beats, resonate with me in a powerful way, and keep me invested the entire time. There cannot be any dud or even mediocre episodes, each episode must be absolute flawless perfection that could reasonably stand on its own outside the context of the larger story.
9 - I think the show is just about perfect, an absolute mastercraft of storytelling that is pretty much impossible to top. I would recommend it to anyone, full stop, as just a really good show.
8 - I think the show is really good and I would be excited for an additional season or continuation (if the story isn't over). I would recommend it to anyone who expresses interest in the genre.
7 - Entertaining, and I enjoyed my time watching it. I would rewatch again if given the opportunity. For instance, if a friend had not seen it yet, I'd be willing to rewatch it with them. I would recommend the show to someone who expresses interest in it.
6 - Entertaining, and I enjoyed my time watching it, but I wouldn't really watch it again.
5 - Not particularly entertaining, but I would still watch it. Just kinda meh.
4 - I would watch it, but only as background noise, while I'm eating lunch for instance.
