Simply an ordinary guy with way too much time in his hands. When he doesn't play videogames, he reads manga, and if he isn't doing either, he's hiding in his lonely corner watching anime. This guy's enjoys wasting hours on end watching anime instead of the outside world and when he starts a series, he doesn't stop until its done... Well, until he falls asleep that is. He also likes to refer to himself in 3rd person! Strange isn't it?
Enough about me, this site is meant for anime and manga alike! I wouldn't call myself a veteran however, I've been watching anime for quite some time now. Back in the good 'ol days of 2003 was the beginning of my interest in anime, thanks to the wonderful channel, Animax. From CardCaptor Sakura and Fullmetal Alchemist to Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai and Phantom: Requiem for The Phantom, the anime I watch was is varied from genre to genre and old to recent. Now, there are all types of anime but some stand out more than others. Some for their plot with its twists and mindf*cks. Some of their are as it can set the tone and atmosphere or simply because it makes you eyes bleed with from its sexyness. There are animes you would watch from only the plot or maybe the art, we all do.
With that said, my top animes may seem a bit weird and that's because it was all my personal opinion and I have only seen so much anime to create a varied list.
How I rate my anime:
Plot: Storyline is important! Intricate plots score more for me. The twists man! Gotta have them plot twists. (Shows like Nichijou and Acchi Kocchi get an extra 3+ cause they don't have a solid plot)
Art: This one is a little tricky, I rate it on Effects (DoF, Particles, Sunlight, Shake), Dynamic use of foreground/background, Aspect Ratio, Uniqueness, Character Art, Atmosphere, realism based on context, fluidity and more (Rated from 5 - 10)
Sound: The use of ambient sounds, BGM and sound effects. OP and the ED is counted too!) (Rated from 5 - 10)
Character: Memorable characters, Character Development and those that don't embrace stereotypes
Scores:
10: Almost Perfect, Very memorable, definitely worth watching again.
9: Very Good, couple flaws keeping it from a 10 but it's still pretty good.
8: Entertaining, worth watching but not the best in it's genre.
7: Notable, That show you remember in the back of your head.
6: Okay, Maybe a bit boring or something was odd about it. (OVAs fall in this area usually)
5: Average, nothing remarkable here
4: Bad, Something has a major flaw, plot execution was whack.
3: Very Bad, It was bad to begin with and it kept going to something worse.
2: Notable for being bad, You know... Like School Day's characters.
1: ..., It must be pretty bad like Aku no Hana's character art.
Animes I drop aren't bad, it's because I personally didn't find them interesting or I'll pick it up again in the future.

About the best friend, if you haven't understood it yet, she is woman.
1) She's not that much of a tsundere and definitely not a typical one, sometimes she acts too nice like in the end
2) Obvious he like her? "He" is a trap. She doesn't like her, just helping her
