Hello there wanderer! How's it going? Interested in some info about me? Well, either way, here you go!
◦ I was born and raised in Greece, although I do have some South African roots. I have completed two environmental-based degrees in the United Kingdom and am hoping to use them in the foreseeable future.
◦ Just like a fair amount of the people on this website, I too started watching anime at a young age. Over time I lost my interest in it. It was not until summer of 2014 that I discovered my passion for anime; that anime being Attack On Titan. Even if I don't watch as much as I used to, I'm still curious to check out seasonal highlights now and then.
◦ My current favourite genres would have to be Supernatural, Thriller, Fantasy, Mystery & Psychological. What truly captures my attention the most though are thought-provoking productions which fully emerse you into the experience they're providing.
◦ Personal Enjoyment often plays a vital role in my ratings. I feel that at the end of the day, no matter what you're doing, recreational value and the rewatchability factor should always be the primary goal.
◦ One of the aspects I especially appreciate about anime is the Sound, specifically the Opening & Ending theme songs, as well as the OST. If you're interested in some of my favourite ones, they're available down below:
1. Hunter x Hunter (2011) 2. Ojamajo Doremi Series 3. The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya 4. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood 5. 3-gatsu no Lion 6. The Natsume Yuujinchou Series 7. Hyouka 8. Fate/Zero 9. Aria the Origination 10. Haikyuu!! 11. Nichijou 12. Frieren: Beyond Journey's End 13. Re:Zero 14. Attack on Titan s4-6 15. Welcome to the NHK 16. Steins;Gate 17. Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu 18. The Monogatari Series 19. Baccano! 20. Moribito - Guardian of the Spirit 21. Ping Pong The Animation 22. Tsuki ga Kirei 23. Kiki's Delivery Service 24. Wolf Children 25. The Garden of Words 26. Nagi no Asukara 27. Code Geass: Lelouch Of The Rebellion 28. 5Centimeters per Second 29. Parasyte 30. The Secret World of Arrietty
~I am quite careful when deciding which anime I'll watch next, as I try to ensure that I don't spend my time watching something I will potentially dislike, hence why I barely have any ratings in the 1-3 score categories~

Good day to you - yes, after 2+ years, I have found some time to actually send a quick reply. Of course, I could have left it on "read", but I am not really fond of leaving people on "read". Rather late than never, right?
I hope you have been doing well and life has been kind to you? In my case, it has been quite a rollarcoaster: with some up's and down's, some in-between's, excting nonetheless and not regretting a thing.
Sending you some good vibes, wherever you may be :)
Oh God, AHHAHAHAHA
I mistook you for one of my Malaysian friends on Mal, so I'm using Malay-English in that previous message. haha xd
And yeah, I'm glad to hear that you're fine and well! I'm also as great as ever, so thanks :D
It may have been quite a long time since our last conversation, but it is nice to see some of my oldies still here as well ^^
Tak pasti masih ingat ke tak tapi dlu kita pernah rapat jugak wktu 2015 haha!
lama tak dengar cita, sihat kee? I hope you're fine and well during this difficult time :)
I've heard that it was very controversial but I personally doubt it was bad. My hunch, if you will, is that people expected and wanted a happy ending but likely the ending was much more realistic to the problems the world is facing in SnK and likely some deaths that people disliked.
I cannot see under any circumstance where a good writer could end SnK on a "everything is solved and our entire main cast is happy" - it simply cannot be but I know this is the sort of conclusion a lot of people consistenlty look for. As a Shinkai fan for whom 5cm/s is one of my favourite endings in anime, I know what it's like for a general audience to think "this ending was bad" simply because it wasn't necessarily all too happy regardless of its quality
I was a manga reader since the anime came out but actually some time during S2, the "beach" chapter of SnK was released and because S2 came out, I became convinced there would be a full adaptation and wanted to be able to watch SnK without prior knowledge.
And so S4 has been the first season for me I've come in blind wihtout manga knowedge as all previous seasons I was a manga reader and what a treat it has been. From the opening seconds of the season to its current episode, it has been phenomenal.
Shingeki has always been both genre-defining and genre-defying but the direction, worldbuilding, narrative complexity and profound dialogue has really been amplified in ways I wouldn't have expected, partially because so much of the complexity in S1-3 is hidden from us because of future knowledge.
I rewatched the entire series prior to S4 and realised there is a treasure trove of writing and foundations built up for us to get to where the story is now and it gave me an entirely new appreciation of the manga.

I've read your profile before a long time ago but this must have passed by me. Either that or my memory has faded but it's extraordinary how similar our experiences are. I too had phased out of anime during my early childhood having watched it at a young age but in spring 2014 I re-discovered anime with Shingeki no Kyojin doing me the honours of bringing me back.
As S4 ends soon, I can only marvel at how mindblowing it is; there really aren't enough superlatives to describe how good Isayama's masterpiece is.
HxH was a profound experience for me, the likes of which I did not expect to have at all during the summer of this year. Coincidentally, I started watching the show on July the 7th which was Killua's birthday, a date that I now recall (this is a feature that I have with all my 10/10s).
There are a lot of lessons I learned and relearned from watching this show even now as a 23 year old and as I watched the final episode, listening to Ging's words of advice followed by a montage of scenes from this 100+ ep show, I was in tears overwhelmed by a rollercoaster of emotions, filled with joy that I experienced such a masterpiece and sadness that I would never be able to experience it for the first time ever again.
Were it not for COVID, I almost certainly wouldn't have even watched HxH this year as the length, genre, and initial misconceptions put me off but with all my travel plans cancelled, it seemed like it was finally time for me to watch an anime that I felt like I couldn't not watch, considering how renowned it was. After all, what kind of anime viewer could I be with now 700 anime completed and without HxH in that list.
Lastly, a belated Happy New Year - hope all is well with you and wishing for a brighter new year.
Hello hello, long time no see/hear/read^^
I was skimming through my profil comments (during an update I had to wait for and had therefore some time to spare at hand) and I found some of our chats^^ Time seriously has passed since we last chatted - 3 years, that is.
Anyway, I thought I'd drop by quickly and leave a message. Hoping all is well on your part :)
Cheers*-*
I held off so long from watching it due to its length and an artstyle that I thought looked too "childish" for me but HxH as viewers have known, is incredibly deceptive. It ranges from peak action, comedy, tragedy, philosophy and was just all-around phenomenal world-building and storytelling.
I was in tears when I got to the final episode (as well as throughout many points in the show) but when the journey had concluded, I felt a level of post-anime depression I hadn't felt for a very long time in my years of watching anime.
I just finished HxH after a 4 day binge. Truly a phenomenal show and the Chimera Ant arc is easily the best shounen arc I've ever seen. Completely impressed by it and Killua is also my fave character from the show!
Completely agree with you that it ended up ridiculing itself.
>Uni really did get the best of me!
Don't worry man! It absolutely did for me as well which is when I went off the grid. But I graduated this year so that's that. Enjoying final days of freedom before my actual job starts.
btw, I just recently wrote a review for the new film Shikioriori and I would appreciate it if you could take a read and help it get some exposure because I don't think many people really get it at all because it's so ingrained in China.

Also, I'm glad that you also found Megalobox to be good but nothing special. It feels like most people really loved it.
