Fair enough subjective makes sense and as I said I haven't seen it in full to really agree or disagree either way. You're one of the few people I have seen rate it poorly so I though I would try to get a better understanding as to why.
Older anime aren't for everyone that is for certain. I grew on 80's and early 90's anime so the less than ideal quality doesn't bother me. In fact I find that story matters a whole lot more to me than the art.
Hi I just read your Legend of the Galactic Heroes review and I must say that I was caught by surprise. I am not here to bash you as I have yet to watch the series and don't know how accurate this review might be. I just have a few questions and comments for you if you don't mind.
As stated I have yet to watch the anime as I have only seen episode 1 but for what it's worth I think you should try looking at things a little more objectively. We all know that the anime is older (you over exaggerated a bit much) but it's actually aged well compared to other anime of the time. Also if you compare it's animation quality to other series of the era you may get a better feel and understanding for where this series actually ranks. Comparing it to today's animation is laughable an takes away pretty much any credibility you have with you reader because. It feels to me at this point in the review that you're hating just for the sake of hating. Now onto the sound again I haven't watched much but the sound being rated so low doesn't seem right (or objective), from what I hear (from trusted sources) this has one of the best, most diverse, voice casts in anime but especially for anime of it's time. Basically I want to know if 5/10 is a subjective (as it appears) or objective score from you?
