I have mixed feelings. I liked the concept of this anime, but Netflix did it in a weird way. Who could imagine it will happen?
The main character is kinda hard to like. In the beginning, he's bullied, poor and ungrateful to his mother. He moves out to another city and on the first night he wakes up in another body. I like this concept, he tries to live two completely other life. But dear lord, I guess it's Korea and more people have the same names, but it's kinda sus that two completely different people live in one house and have the same name. Also,
...
I guess he has alzheimer because he's constantly forgetting in which body he is almost all the time.
So the most important thing is the social aspect of this anime.
Fatphobia is a serious topic and it's uncommon to talk about it. In this anime, it's shown in a hyperbolic way. All people are fatphobes, except maybe five people. When the main character is in his "beautiful body" every girl wants to hook up with him, boys are jealous about his position and everyone is too friendly. When the main character is in his "ugly body" everyone is just bullies, they beat him, punch him and treat him as a slave/animal. No one reacts when he gets beat up in the street, maybe 2 people have something against it.
But after cutting off fatphobia, the plot is just meh. They go to middle school and the solution to all their problems is taking part in the talent show. Like damn, is it High School Musical? Also, the main "villain" and his motivation just don't exist, he just bullies some kids because they're fat and ugly.
I liked the music even though I don't like k-pop, they're a few nice songs, and after all, the soundtrack is better than it is in other anime.
So, if you have a free evening and nothing better to do it's a good idea to watch it, but you won't regret skipping it.

It could be well-developed anime, but as always in Netflix series something is wrong. But I still enjoyed it and even cried a bit at the end, so it's not so bad after all.
I think the worst part is that this anime is too short. Some of the storylines could be interesting, but they're not developed enough. For example, Momo's uncle's background could be entertaining, but they're only shown a few scenes of him and his vampire wife. Or the storyline of Fine girlfriend (?), could be also interesting, but we know for sure that they know each other and that she is dead.
...
Also, the journey which Momo and Fine had to take is too short, they're traveling for one full episode.
I thought it will be more about the differences between humans and vampires and trying to be together even if another person has disadvantages. But they kinda love each other after the second talk.
Also, this village is too sus. From the first moment you know they're hiding something shady and paradise won't be paradise. I think it would be better if it was less obvious.
Anyway, it's pretty anime and it has a good soundtrack. Momo and Fine are ok characters, but their relationship is too fast. Like, for real, Momo's girlfriend was killed by a vampire and after a few hours, she has fun, singing and playing piano with Fine. But even after that ending is emotional and probably makes you wanna cry. So I think it's good anime if you don't have anything better.

I have a problem with rating Mieruko-chan. I enjoyed it, but I can't stand some things in it. That's, why my grade is 6/10.
About the soundtrack, there's nothing interesting I can say. It just exists. It's not bad, but neither good. Truly I didn't even remember anything special about it. I remember only opening and it's not a good memory. It's noisy and weird, I know that concept was probably to show the contrast between happy op and horror anime, but for me, it's just too much.
The style of this anime is ok, it's just common. I like the design of ghosts they're creative and
...
it's not so obvious what they will do. Sometimes they made me uncomfortable, and that's important because I really appreciate when anime affect me, especially when it's horror.
When we come to the characters, here is when my rage will start.
Hana is just a dumb betch with big bazongas. She is extremely loud, unresponsible and just annoying. Her only ability is to eat so much food in one day that I would eat in a month. And I'm not overreacting about it, she's dumber than your shoe.
Yuria is annoying too. She's just doing dumb stuff and has an irrational fear of Miko. At first, she's ego top, but after a while, she gets so insecure that you want to punch her.
So basically 2/3 of the main characters are just dumb and scream all the time.
At least Miko is kinda and nice, but her process of thinking is just not always right. She can be calm and sometimes behave logically. But her reflection about why she sees ghosts is in the last two-three episodes and I don't really understand it. Imagine, one day you randomly start to see some creepy creatures, wouldn't you be curious why you see them? Also, her first meeting with a ghost is kinda weird for me. She is just standing. Why she doesn't run away? Why does she even consider that standing and ignoring ghosts is a good idea? Idk, bro. It worked, but it's still dumb that her first reaction was ignoring the ghost.
Imo the plot could be good, but for me, it's too slow. A lot of episodes have almost the same storyline. Miko and Hana go somewhere. Then Hana is just messing around, and suddenly Miko is like "👁️👄👁️, here's a ghost, Hana can't see it so I must save her". And she is doing something to rescue Hana, but she does it in a way that ghost or neither Hana notice that Miko sees ghosts. It had potential, but you can't be scared that something will happen to Hana, from the begging you know that Miko will save her.
Also, there was a storyline with fox Japanese warriors (still don't know what it is exactly). So basically Miko knows that she will be rescued three times. And she clearly wastes two of them. Imo she should keep it for critical situations, but she uses it in situations that happened to her before.
Anyway, I really enjoyed the storyline with their teacher and cat killer. The scheme is common, but the background of this story was emotional and it fitted in that world. I think that trauma motive could be developed even more, but maybe it will happen in the second season.
Also ghosts are good. They have creative design and are shocking. Another important thing is that not all ghosts are dangerous, some of them are kinda friendly or neutral. And I'm disappointed that it's not that well developed, but again, maybe in the second season, it will happen.
Soooo Miko is good, but the rest of the characters are annoying. The plot had potential but it wasn't well developed. The designs are nice, music too. Everything could be good but turned out meh. Idk, what to tell. You don't need to watch it, it's not a masterpiece. But if you're bored it would be a good way to spend a few hours.

Mahoutsukai no Yome it's hard to judge. I'm at the same time pleased and pissed off. The first half of the anime was really enjoyable, but the second half is just meh and triggering.
From the visual side, it's weird anime. Some of the scenes are beautiful and feel real, but some of them look like they were made by seven years old. Also character design, I really liked the design of Elias, Alice, Angelica, Ruth, and Lindel. Creatures have also nice designs, for example, water dragons, a monster with Isabell's head, or these flying sheeps. They're creative and well-made. But when it comes to
...
real animals it starts to get worse. When Elias and Chise are in the cat kingdom some of these cats just look like they were cursed. Chise's design isn't that bad, but it's just basic and in some close shoots she looks like from '90s anime.
Sound is ok, it's not that bad or that good to write a lot about it. There are 2 openings, they're just meh it's not really better with endings. But during anime music is nice.
When we come to the plot. Chise is depressed and wants to make a kickflip from the roof of her school. But then she is an "auction product" to see if she is worth anything. Elias buys her and wants to make her his student because she is ✨ child of the night ✨ And then he takes her to his cottage and basically tells her that he bought her not only to be his student but also his wife. Later they go to a lot of places and meet a lot of people but that's not really important.
So what's wrong with this plot? Basically, it's ok, but the way how it's developed is weird. Elias should be her teacher, but he teaches her maybe two times during anime. Also, she should be his teacher of human feelings, but she does it also twice.
There are just too many side stories. They're too fast, characters appear, and never get back screen time. Also, they trust her too much, she's just like "tell me your story", and everyone just imidetaly agrees. And about the storyline with "villain". It's just weird. He appears in the fifth episode and from the situation you know that it's not this character who appears and disappears after his episode. He's an interesting character, but his motivation is just not enough.
The main problem is that a lot of things happen around but don't really in Chise-Elia's relationship. I know that it's a concept to discover themselves slowly, but it's too contrasting to all that happens with other characters. I think during watching I was more prepared for an emotional conversation about their relationship than they were. We don't really have shown their conversations too and that is probably a mistake, because it helps the development of the characters.
Chise in the beginning had a potential, depressed teen with trauma and problems with trust. She was scared to do anything on her own. Then she finds out that she would die if she's not enough careful. She can't use a lot of magic so what is she going to do? Use magic in almost every episode. She can't get hurt so what is she going to do? Get almost deadly injured every five seconds. She can't get far from Elias because he would protect her in case of danger so what is she going to do? She goes to another city, without telling that to him in person. I think her depression already gave her suicidal thoughts because she does everything to die as fast as possible. Honestly, she is trying to kill herself in almost every episode. Also, the amount of crying is terrifying. In the first few episodes she didn't show her feelings, but when she starts here starts on a roller coaster. Idk, maybe she just try to dehydrate herself. She's crying in moments with aren't accurate to cry and sometimes it gives you a cringe.
She is also pretty weird in relation to Elias. On her first or second day with him, he is like "yeah, you're my future wife". They don't go back to this during the next 15 episodes. And I can understand this from the side of Elias, he doesn't understand the concept of marriage so maybe he wants to find out this before he will start a serious conversation about this. But Chise for the first 10 episodes wasn't concerned about this, she just acts like that hasn't happened. Only later does she thinks about it, but she doesn't speak to him about it.
On the other hand, Elias is a well-developed character. He is a child in a man's body. Even if he lived for many years he still doesn't understand humans. It's cute when he tries to describe his feelings, but doesn't know how to call them. For example, he says that the house without Chise is cold and he doesn't like that cold. It's just a pleasure to watch how he tries to understand human feelings. I think that choice of giving him this deer skull was great because you can't see feelings on his face, but you know that feeling from his eyes.
But why the heck Elias's background is so poorly developed. All his background is "I was walking in bushes, became mage and probably eat human before". What the heck he is? Idk. Why he is like this? Idk. How did he become like this? Idk. What he did do before getting in those bushes? Idk. Why he isn't curious about this? Idk. I'm just triggered because I would like to know the answers to these questions.
When it comes to my enjoyment it's even harder to tell something goo. The first half was really pleasing to watch, but the second, oh boi, I got frustrated. I thought after they will know each other better there would be more emotional talks and trying to understand each other feelings. But it's just "we gotta talk", they talk but it's not shown to the viewer and that was triggering me a lot. And the worst thing is that even after these "talks" they don't really change.
Honestly, I don't know who will be satisfied after watching it, it's just really overhyped anime. I heard many times that it's the best anime that someone watched, but it's just meh. I wrote some of this review in half of watching anime. I was almost sure to give this anime 8/10, 6/10 for the plot, characters, and all this stuff, and +2 for my enjoyment. It was a mistake that's why my grade is 5/10, it just disappointed me so much that I can't stand this.

Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu it’s just common ecchi/harem anime. The main character, Diablo, is a guy who teleported to the world from his favorite game. In real life he’s no one but in this world, he’s Demon King. It’s common anime, so what’s wrong with it? Honestly, for me, a lot of things are just bad.
But lets start with the good part.
From the visual side, it’s not bad anime, it’s just nothing special. Fight scenes are not chaotic, “special spells” don’t look like they were made in Paint. But in ecchi bazoongas are the most important thing. Yeah, bazoongas are
...
nice, but their consistency is like jelly so that’s kinda weird.
Sound is not really important. It’s not that bad or that good to focus on it. Opening probably won’t be your favorite, but it isn’t terrible. The main problem is that all soundtrack is not connected, it’s like the playlist on Spotify on which your friends add random songs. Sometimes it doesn’t fit the vibe too, for example during a dramatic scene plays something close to a pop song.
Another good thing is part of Diablo’s story. I appreciate that he’s a nerd that was teleported to the anime world. He must act like Demon King, but inside he’s a shy nerd which never touched a woman. I think it’s a good storyline how he tries to be more confident. But sometimes it’s just overblown even if viewers know it’s just his acting.
And that’s all good things. The next part is just rage and pain.
Sooo, it’s ecchi there are bazoongas, harem, butts, girls, and sexual allusions, I know about it. But it’s sometimes too much. Especially with characters like Sylvie and Glebsklem, they both look like they were eleven years old. And I think even the fact Glebskem is an ancient Demon Lord, doesn’t change that she has the body of a kid. Her outfit doesn’t even cover the whole bazoongas and that’s just kinda gross to me.
So we have a few important characters. Diablo is a nerd, who must act like Demon King. The first girl is Shera, she is a dumb elf with huge bazoongas which eats a lot. And the second girl is Rem who is almost flat, but she has cat ears and a tail. Everything you must remember is that the main character is Diablo, a girl with bazoongas and a girl without bazoongas. Of course, these two argue about bazoongas, because it’s ecchi. All of the characters don’t really change through all season, they’re almost the same as in the beginning, they don’t learn from their mistakes. Only Diablo sometimes has any logical thinking, but only for a moment. Shera and Rem are just dumb through all episodes.
When we come to the plot. Two “extremely intelligent” girls decide to summon a demon lord and make him their slave. But oopsie daisy, he has the ring of reflection, and they become his slaves. Diablo become an adventurer and they do all stuff that they do in fantasy anime. I think that could be a more interesting plot if this slave story wasn’t just sexual allusions but it’s only about getting Diablo’s arm between bazoongas. The main storyline is just not interesting. There are so many things that just fill up space. Basically, a lot of episodes are just about Rem or Shera getting in trouble and Diablo trying to save them. That’s why you can easily forget what is the goal of their journey.
And here comes the biggest sin of this anime, it's just boring. You watch it and almost constantly forget about it. Characters do what they do just cause of the plot, not because they have any motivation. Things just happen and you don't even know why, because you just don't care. I think in my entire life I never forgot the plot during watching anything, but here it just happened. I was watching it all in one night and after finishing it I couldn’t even tell about its main storyline, because it was so boring that I forgot about it. The only thing that I could remember is that it was like every fantasy anime with an adventurer motive.
I think I never used “bazoongas” so much in that short period of time, but it was worth it. So basically, if you want to see something with bazoongas, a good plot and charismatic characters then go watch something else. But if you care only about bazoongas and butt this anime is perfect for you.

Kakegurui is just weird anime, but satisfying to watch. It's similar to Shokugeki no Soma but it's about gambling. Both have schools going by strict rules and getting seriously their main goal. Both have a council that is created by the strongest students.
The main character is Yumeko Jabami, she's amicable, carrying and of course, loves gambling. She's new in Hyakkaou Private Academy, it's a common motive to get viewers close to the rules of this world, but I think it's made in a good way so you don't feel like a dumbass at the beginning. Yumeko loves all gambling games and is just searching for
...
someone to play with her in basically anything. She tries to get to the top of the academy to play with stronger rivals. Yumeko is easy to like, she doesn't scream all the time, has a brain, and usually makes logical choices. But she's addicted to gambling, when others play to get money or status, she's playing for fun. She's kinda addicted to gambling and the feelings which come with it.
Other characters are various, some of them are easy to like, but some of them are weird in a good way. The most important thing is that they show a lot of points of view on gambling, for example, Midari is a girl which for fun would play roulette with a full carousel with herself, Matsuda is calculating the risk of every game, Itsuki gambles just to stay in a council. Characters have a lot of different motivations and reactions to almost anything. And I think that's important, cause sometimes side characters are just worse clones than main characters.
Anyway, the way how gambling is shown is overblown, but I think it's just an artistic choice. Characters are almost close to orgasm when they play and I think it's the moment when most of the people had the first wtf. But I think it's nothing new in anime. For example in Shokugeki no Soma people are just cumming from food, it's overblown, but I think if it's ok with food then why shouldn't be ok with gambling? But gambling is more controversial than food, so I understand that it's too much for some people. Personally, I like gambling, so maybe that's why I can understand the characters' feelings even when they're overblown. And this anime woke up in me that excitement which is when I gamble. I think that provoking emotions should be the main goal of any medium, so that's the biggest advantage of Kakegurui for me.
The plot is simple. Basically, it's about Yumeko looking forward to a rival, which will give her an exciting game. She meets a lot of people and gets into conflict with the council, which tries to eliminate her from the academy.
The most important thing is that for them, gambling it's not only poker, they also do idol competition, play traditional Chinese games, or do coin flip to figure out who is right. And I think it's the best thing in the anime. They're getting over traditional gambling games, of course, here's blackjack or poker, but it's a small amount of games. A lot of them are more creative.
I think it's also important how cheating was shown. It's not only gambling, it's also a psychological game between rivals. It's really satisfying to watch how they try to cheat each other. And it's important that cheating is in normal amount, not like Death Note and legendary "I predicted, that you would predict, that I would predict, that you would predict, ..."
When it comes to music I don't really like opening, visually it's nice, but it's not my type of music. I think it's not really a fitting vibe of Kakerugui. Anyway, the soundtrack in all anime is good but not that good to be on your playlist. It's common so I didn't really pay attention to it.
The visual side is nice, this is a really pretty anime. It has its own style. But sometimes hair and eyes become weird. I'm not sure what exactly is wrong with them, but I just feel uncomfortable when I'm looking at them.
So afterall, if you like the concept of Shokugeki no Souma, you can like Kakegurui too. But if cumming from gambling is too much for you, I suggest watching something else.

It had potential, but it turned out meh.
Thermae Romae Novae is an anime about a Roman architect of bathhouses that gets teleported to modern Japanese bathhouses. He has huge art block and has problems with making something that other Romans would appreciate, after he visits the Japanese bathhouse he has a lot of ideas to improve his project.
I think it could be good anime, but after a few episodes, it’s just boring. The concept for every episode is almost the same. The main character, Lucius Modestus can’t find an idea for a new bathhouse, he’s getting to Japan through water, finds something interesting and
...
new, gets back to Rome, and do it in his project. And it’s just it, in all episodes which I watched. Maybe in another episode, something more is happening, but after 5 episodes I had enough.
From the cultural side, it’s kinda nice. You can learn something about Japanese and Roman bathhouses and culture. I didn’t know before a lot of things that were shown in anime, but the construction of the episode is just too much for me.
Anyway, Lucius is a kinda good character. You can see his motivation and goal in all this stuff, he understands what he needs to do and why what is uncommon in anime made by Netflix. His background is just the usual, dead father, dead grandfather, but it’s not about revenge. He just wants to be approved by Roman society and do bathhouses in which everyone can relax and regenerate to work for Rome even harder than before.
I also really appreciate that Lucius and Japanese people can’t communicate. It’s common to have a situation like “I’m Roman and can speak Japanese”, but here is nothing like it, he doesn’t understand them, they don’t understand him and that’s beautiful.
But here is my biggest problem, the main part of the episode ends and you wanna see the ending, but there’s no traditional ending. There is 2-3 min of the author’s story about how she discovered things that Lucius find out in that episode. I think it’s nice to do something like it, but maybe as another episode for people, that’s more interested in this.
That’s why I think this anime is 5/10. It has good elements, but after all, good anime is an anime which I can watch all episodes and don’t have to drop it in the middle. Thermae Romae Novae is just meh.

It's hard to review Guilty Crown. It has some advantages, but also a lot of disadvantages. I would like to say it's beautiful and 10/10, but I can't say that, and here's why.
Soundtrack is definitely the best element of this anime. All songs fit in vibe, and it's just a pleasure to listen to them. I'm still in love with "Eutrepe". Art is also nice, but it's just another pretty anime. It hasn't got an own style or anything characteristic.
Sadly, that's all advantages.
Characters and plot are just meh. It's not that bad, but it's neither good.
I like the concept of voids and all this
...
virus stuff, but I think it's too late explained. I know that we can't know everything from the beginning, but explaining it in 21 episode, when there are 22, is surely too late.
I think some of the storylines could be better explained to understand character motivation. For example (spoiler alert), why the heck Shuichiro Keido want to have Fourth Apocalypse. For me, it looks like he just got pissed off that his friend was a better scientist than him, so he decided to destroy the world. And I think we can agree that's kinda bad motivation to exterminate almost the whole human species.
The history of Inori and Mana is ok, but it's something what's already known from other anime. Storyline about bad character which must have body from clone, but this clone run away and discover what's love and pain. It's nice, but not really nice when you see the same story for 1000 time.
When it comes to characters, Shu for the most part of anime is just boring, he's like a puppet that someone throw in that world. He is panicking and getting offended with almost anything. Also, Gai doesn't really belong to this world. I can understand who he was supposed to be, but imo it's easy to see that it's fake. He has some kind of motivation, but it's the same problem that's with Keido. He could be something more, but his motivation isn't enough. So to sum up, the characters do what they do because of the story, not because they are motivated to do so. And for me, it's probably the worst thing in anime at all.
So if you wanna watch pretty anime with nice music and just enjoy it without thinking about plot and motivation of characters, then Guilty Crown is perfect for you. But it's not for you if you want to analyse history and have something more than "something to watch".
