A good chuckle to start celebrating the Christmas holidays!
If you have time, check this series out. Each episode is only about three minutes long. A weird but entertaining story. I like it so far ...
Happy Birthday :)
I have the link in my profile under the Also Available At section.
With so many gateway anime available I would like to think that getting people interested in the medium is easier than ever. I managed to get a few friends to go to the cinema with me to watch Kimi No Na Wa and it awed them.
How are you enjoying Edit Anime Information Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara? It is on my to-watch list.
I am a veteran and one of my co-workers in my training class is a Navy vet. He found out I started my military career in the Coast Guard. The two services never seem to get along. Think Popeye and Brutus. Popeye was a Coastie while Brutus was in the Navy. He would jab me constantly w/ barbs, good natured but still barbs. Well, the Coast Guard has a b-day every August 4th. Mark goes home before I do so on August 2nd ( the 4th was on a Saturday ) I decorated his cube in Coast Guard blue and orange streamers, confetti and balloons. I hung a Coast Guard flag and gave him some presents ( it was a birthday party after all ): A Coast Guard t-shirt, mug and card. He walked in at 8 am and wondered who's birthday, but as he walked closer to his cube he realized he had been pranked. He loved it.
He got me back as the Navy just celebrated a b-day and I walked in and saw my cube had been decorated in Navy blue and presents. I took a couple of days to clean up all the confetti and glitter he dumped in my cube!
I will get revenge, the Army/Navy game is coming up in a couple of weeks. I started my military career in the USCG but did 17 years in the Army National Guard. I am going to decorate his cube in Army black and hang a banner above his cube that will read: Go Army! Sink Navy!
Our head boss is a Navy vet, that should go over well with him, lol.
I wish our son picked a girl that lived so close! But no, she lives just a little south of Edmonton, Alberta. They met on-line gaming. She has been here twice with her parents and my son and I will be traveling to Canada next spring/summer for a couple of weeks. They are so cute together, two peas in a pod. She has the lessor form of Autism. Her parents have never seen her smile in her 20 years of life. When they met for the first time at the airport, her mother started to cry b/c as I stated she had never seen her daughter smile and she got to see her smile for the first time when the two love birds held each other for the first time. Her dad didn't believe it. So he came down the next visit and he cried for an hour after he witnessed his daughter smiling. And the two love birds talked and talked and talked. She was social to those around her and her parents were just stunned that our son could bring that out of her. She caused our son to work on his grades when he was in high school. She told him she doesn't date dummies. He made the deans list his senior year. But yet, he still doesn't have a drivers license. He doesn't want to drive. Told me it scares the shit out of him. He will eventually get his license b/c I am tired of hauling his ass where ever he needs to go. But he is a good kid.
Now that the wedding is over, we are starting to go thru the house and tossing crap. This past weekend we just went thru the attic and filled the front porch with boxes of shit that we have collected over the past 27 years. Black Friday instead of heading to the mall, I will be making several trips to the dump getting rid of the crap on the porch. There are a couple of more rooms to go. But the early results are positive...my office was in a cramped closet off the attic ( the attic is an unfinished room on the second floor ). Since our daughter has moved out, our son has taken her room on the first floor. I re-painted it and added a nice rug and he likes it. The other bedroom on the first floor was a catch all for crap. A call to Got Junk and the room was emptied as was my wallet. I turned that room into an office for my wife b/c she was using the whole first floor as her office when she teleworks. So now she has an office and she loves it. I turned my son's old room on the second floor into my office. It is not done but all my stuff is out of my old office which now can be turned back into a closet. The end game once our home is devoid of crap will be to renovate the kitchen, dining room and bathroom on the first floor. Then we sell and move out to the country. Probably 5-7 year time line. In the short time, I hope to be able to telework by the first of the year. I will have to get a couple of monitors and run a phone line up to my office first but when done, I will telework two days a week.
Tell me about Korean Dramas. I have no idea what they are.
Here's a couple of suggestions since you left anime for a bit of time:
Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso
I absolutely loved this anime. It is amazing how far animators have come when it comes to animating someone playing a piano. Yes, it is CGI but it really looks real. If you watch this, ask me about Lawson's. It pops up at the beginning of the first episode.
Gin no Saji ( Silver Spoon )
Just a fun anime.
Don't worry about how long it takes to respond. We both have lives that must be tended to on a daily basis.
