One of the first anime I watched way back was Familiar of Zero, I think there's around 4 seasons (i think 12 episodes each). It's a pretty old show though so the storyline is fairly predictable.
Another one I actually really enjoyed is Akagami no Shirayuki hime, the plot is decent but the animation and OST is what really made the show great for me! It's animated by studio bones (which is one of the studios I usually give high praise to).
This one isn't really extremely romance per se, but it's got some of it in there so I'm going to reccomend it anyway, Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood are some of my all time favourite anime, I noticed you hadn't watched em so I thought I'd recommend em to ya! I would watch Fullmetal Alchemist the original series before brotherhood if you give it a go, the first series explains the first two arcs in much more depth than brotherhood because they probably expected viewers to already have watched the original series before watching brotherhood. There's also anime only canon in the original series while brotherhood stays true to the manga. (Also animated by bones!)
I'm gonna reccomend Kimi no na wa, I saw it was on your ptw, it's a fairly quick watch of course since it's a movie. In my personal opinion I didn't enjoy the story all that much but the animation and OST were absolutely stunning!
Okay last one i promise, Chivalry of a Failed Knight is a pretty alright show. I don't have too too much to say about it other than the fact that it uses the trope of the underdog becoming OP, otherwise it's pretty solid.
