Estava lendo uma análise do seu blog pessoal. A citação de Susan Sontag, sobre a pureza retirada pela crítica, caiu muito bem. Percebo que, no meio otaku, algumas vacas sagradas são incriticáveis ou inelogiáveis; algumas obras são impossíveis, para a massa, que se analise por bem ou por mal -- não, aqui, seguindo um tipo de pureza das ideias ou corrupção da crítica, mas um tipo de fanatismo irracional que considera aquele objeto artístico como impecável ou irredimível. Neste sentido, qualquer tipo de análise que passe batido da idolatria ou da anti-idolatria, e que não considere a subjetividade de notas como método perfeito, é bem-vinda; suas considerações sobre mis-en-scene no anime foram um colírio neste sentido, pois você optou por uma linha mais analítica do que opinativa.

Nossa afinidade é baixa, mas achei sua lista muito boa. Tem belos títulos.

Have already tried many types of reviews over the years, and this one is the most neutral to me. Depending on the genre and direction, I set different criteria. Characters, depth, dialogue, monologues, writing style, creativity, world-building, scene-setting, pacing, execution. Of course, I can't apply all criteria to every anime. For example, with a slice of life, comedy, or realistic works, you can almost only focus on the characters and scene-setting. And then I simply distribute the points to set the final result. Just to be clear, I don't compare anime for ratings, here the comparison was just for myself since I liked Tokyo M.8.


And about this anime "Japan Sinks" I just can't understand your opinion. You could practically make a 5-minute episode for "Everything is Wrong with Japan Sinks" per episode. I'll put it this way, the anime has so much plot armor that it's shocking from time to time, if you've seen 2012 you should know what I mean. The half disaster scenes are based on the "Last Moment Escape". As soon as they get on, everything disappears behind them. 95% of the character deaths are even worse than FInal Destination and only serve the shock factor, especially the death of the father, which almost made me cry. This was already a shocking level. Then instead of caring more about the characters, new flat personalities are introduced. The dialogues are without any creativity. Yes, it's more realistic that way, but you just don't want to see the interactions between the characters. And from the flow, we also picked up almost every cliché. Catastrophe > meeting > shock factor > escape > shock factor > group formation and separation > the funny death of the father, who has nothing better to do than to ignore the barrier fence and 30 red warning signs and dig there... > A realistic reaction from the protagonist (best scene for me) > Bad rapist cliché > Another brilliant character death that could have been prevented in so many ways > Plot Armor from the sky fittingly saves the protagonist > They wave at a car from 900 yards away, Big Brain, good thing the men didn't do it > Weed plantation > Rapist cliché 2 > Cult is nice > Cult is weird > Plot Armor man in bed > Perfect timing escap > The Old Man is Legolas, apparently he can aim better through the weed than when he was in the mall > The death of the cultist leader's boy was a fucking Final Destination moment, god I almost had to laugh, the producers were joking after all > Characters that had 5 dialogs all died > Family drama during evacuation > Last Moment Escape 3 > Next cliché, purebred Japanese racists who die shortly after by karma > Random new NPC are Introduced > The new NPC die meaningless and the old man renewed shock factor. SEAGULLS AND A SHARK? Seriously? What movie are we in? > The boy who didn't want to run runs again and shows how he takes off his shackles ... oh how nice, but since we are in a cheap Indian Movie, he got caught by a wave as a shock factor just before the end. > The mom probably had the most boring death ever > The white-haired plot armor god even admitted that he didn't have PLot Armor anymore before he died, btw off-screen death > Happy ending, drama. Epilogue.

I found so far some ecchi/harem isekai like Zero no Tsukaima, Seikon no Dragnar, or Seikon no Qwaser was the worst anime I've ever seen. But this one has me offended.
