Ya, I agree with you on that. They are flashbacks but they bring something to the plot which is definitely an improvement. Still a bit annoying, but they are more meaningful.
They met several times? In the anime? Okay, now I'm feeling retarded since I can only recall the Naruto meeting his mother and father when he was trying to control the nine tails and when he almost broke the seal respectively. Unless you mean the manga or the movies... God, has my memory got this bad?

As for the 3 things you're looking forward, I think you'll be get most of it. The second one, come one, it's so obvious it hurts. Imagine how pissed off all fans would be if that didn't happen. I think it is fair to assume that's gonna happen.
Hinata, well, personally I don't care that much but I think it will happen although there's the possibility of having Sakura marry him but no, dont think that is gonna happen no.
And the third point you made, I think they are gonna let us know that konohamaru is then gonna succeed but that scenario... hum, maybe they'll do an ova or movie on that but I think it's not as likely as the other things.
So ya, I think you've got a pretty good chance of getting everything that you want from this show :)

How did you like Higurashi? I watched the first season very slowly and I regret it since I didn't remember some of the clues given along the way but still loved it :)

You have Naruto and Hinata as your favorite characters so I'm guessing you're going crazy with the anime right now :). The last 4 episodes or so were really cool! They made me look forward to the next week and after all the fillers/flashbacks I was beginning to lose my patience. I used to wait 2 weeks and watch 2 episodes together just so it wouldn't be completely tasteless nor meaningless. But then, it seemed like it was finally over. All the possible flashbacks had already been thrown at our eyes and now all that was left was for them to move on with the series where they left off. And so, the last 4 episodes were like honey to a sore throat. It reminded me why I watch naruto. And the Hokage being resurrected was actually nice. Besides wanting to meet the first and second hokage, the last episodes made me truly excited about a possible (and obliviously gonna happen) Naruto and his father reunion. I really liked when Sasuke and Itachi met so I am genuinely looking forward to see Naruto and the 4th.
But then... *sign* we are going back to a past side-story next week. Okay, it's an interesting one I guess but... another one? God, this is why my rating of naruto keeps going down even though I really like its vast world and some of the characters. I bet they are spending another 3 or 4 episodes on it which means, another month before we go back to the main plot. I hope I'm wrong but I doubt I am.
Besides that, ya, can't wait to see the Hokage and Sasuke join the battle. I don't read manga and no, I don't know what's gonna happen but I'm guessing they are all joining in after the "short" conversation about village and shonobi. I might be wrong but what I like in naruto is not the mystery of what's to come since it's never really a mystery but how it is gonna happen and how awesome it's gonna feel when it does. Thus I'm really excited about it :). Naruto&Hinata wise, I always thought they would end up together and Sasuke with Sakura. We'll see.

And oh, I saw you're watching the first season of Higurashi. Feeling in the dark? If you can, try putting the pieces together before they tell you what's happening. I wish I had sat down and tried harder but I don't think I wouldve guessed it so I'm not even mad, lol.

Awesome, it's rather to actually see people not drop a single anime, it's hard especially when you go further down the line but keep it up! You won't regret it in the end (I hope)

I tend to never read or look at something from an anime I've yet to watch, I strictly don't want to get spoiled at all, I don't even read the synopsis I base my watching rate to the quality of the box art/picture and the genre type. So when I watch it I might watch something completely different than what I was expecting (happened so many times already)

These last couple years were easy for me but the coming years (uni) will get a bit harder so I doubt I can keep up my current pace as it is!

Feel free to ask any recommendation if you need any and well keep up the good work and enjoy watching anime!

Seriously though, with a good planning (stopping with everything and start watching anime at 8PM until 1AM) and dedication (Never stop/drop an anime even if it's bad) and a whole bunch of additional free time to marathon a lot of anime.

Watching 2 years anime now a lot of my time these days actually goes into watching new series as I try to complete my current watching list before I go to College.

But yea just spend time to it with a proper planning and you'll get there!

Yeah, it's still a small list but it's getting bigger all the time due to the fact that im watching anime all the time. I started watching anime actively just at the starting of 2014 (this year). Always liked it, but now finally got to awaken the otaku inside me for real, and to stay. :')

I saw few pics of Log Horizon and the characters looks really put me off from watching it. I might give it a shot later, but now theres just too much stuff I wanna see more.
