This show was riding at a solid 6/10 at the beginning, but its promise is its downfall. The main romance is so flimsy, so superficial, so middle school, that it convinced me the character arc would be Ayai learning to grow the hell up and stop obsessing over her stepbrother. There's nothing wrong with the relationship being childish, seeing as they are children, but if the story starts there it has to go somewhere!
Also, the title should be "My Stepdad's Son is My Ex." Mizuto is barely a character, let alone the main one. The more we see of him, the more it's obvious he's
