In case you are wondering: shows marked with a "*" are the ones I have talked about in one way or the other on my youtube channel.
I consider judging the value of something as complex as anime, film, games, literature, etc. in numbers madness for various reasons which I've summed up in this video.
Feel free to leave a message or a comment or say hi on Twitter where I share my daily musings @HamstakuKristin - I don't bite!
Well, at least I'll make sure I won't leave marks :D
double checking, you are right to an extent. Directed by Tachikawa, he was the assistant director of Zankyou, as watanabe being ep director. Watanabe is also the director of zankyou...
Hmmm, I can see how people may be confused with that, but thankyou for pointing it out ^^
He directed the eps, which makes him a director, besides its clear that he had high influence on them. You are right, Yuzuru Tachi is the one who came up with the chara, story and all and he makes the decisions, but in the end he works like the president of a democratic country, he can only accept or turn down content, on the other hand Watanabe can build the eps has he likes but only if Tachi agrees.
I have faith in them. They will do that after some time. Natsume Yuujinchou San came out 2 years after Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou after all, so they might be taking a break or something... or so do I hope. xD
I have Mononoke in my plan to watch list for a long time. I will start it as soon as possible.
I know that my "review", cause I would not really call it a review, feels biased. I know that I did not explain anything. And I know that the phrase I used makes me sound like an idiot. However, I just wrote this review. I just felt like writing it. The difference between this particular review and my other ones for other anime is quite big, because in my other reviews I take some time to organize. I was writing whatever came first to my mind in my Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso review. I just wanted to show my opinion to others. I can explain why I did not like the anime, but this "review" of mine was not for me to explain why I did not like the anime. It was because I wanted to show to you and every you that there are people that do not like this anime. It may have been useless, but I just felt like it... Btw, +1 for Natsume Yuujinchou in your favorites. I love it so much and it is my favorite anime as well :D
Oh yes, but I mostly watch anime/movies with sad endings, can't quite find a one that ends happily... The animation was suprisingly good altho it was in 2007, I thought it was made like 2011 or 2012, but later on I saw it was 2007 lol :D
I totally agree, I'll change that in my future reviews, thanks for the advice!
I'm really of two minds about the fandom. I think there's some unwarranted nastiness on both sides. Like, I'm not interested in directly telling anyone "THE THING YOU LIKE SUCKS" because screw that, that's rude and not cool and people can enjoy what they want. But I am also all about being critical of the media you consume, examining your standards and asking WHY you like the things you like, or dislike the things you dislike. Just because it's subjective doesn't mean it isn't important.
I wish I could complain about it in the twitter hashtag without being afraid of getting jumped, lol.
