Well, I've read all of my manga online. The problem is not purchasing one - the problem is the high shipping fees I'll have to incur, which is extra money out of my pocket, which will never reach the mangaka. I'd rather just donate to their Patreons, but their Japanese pride disallows them from asking for donations.
Watching anything interesting this season?

It's the worst to feel you're forced to keep up if you're not in the mood, because that's how you burn out.
So far what piqued my interest / I tried out this season:
Tada-kun wa Koi wo Shinai
Comic girls
Megalo Box
Akkun to Kanojo
Golden Kamuy
Hinamatsuri
Hisone to Maso-tan
S;G 0
Darling in the Franxx continuing
BNHA s3 if I feel like starting the series from scratch at some point
Who knows if I pick up something more. After all, I watched 14 seasonal anime last season and it was 100% worth the ride.
Just finished VE. I'm surprised how KyoAni managed to wrap this show up in a solid manner, despite the anime original plot. I find the plot focusing on Violet moving on and getting over Gilbert better and more impactful than the LN disney-like ending with a completely alternate timeline you could say (no spoilerino but it's an interesting read for sure).
I liked the anime overall until ep 12. The action parts were just plain bad, and the change of pace and focus on plot kinda ruined the feeling I had going for the show. Also it simply felt rushed, and in the end I didn't shed a tear in the last 2 eps... meh. It's understandable that in the anime they wanted to make her a 100% pacifist, whereas in the LN she's basically carrying an arsenal of concealed weapons with her at all times. It makes sense considering how much she regrets her past. Also just chilling on top of a train in full speed, even in tunnel xDDDD
It wouldn't have hurt to adapt the prison and cult arc, since they could have shed some light on Violet's origin, the war and so on. It kinda felt some lore was missing, even though the LN didn't explain Violet's origin either, but at least it gave us some tease (cult arc depending on how you wanna interpret the LN). The good parts of the anime were definitely 10/10 material, and the anime was amazing while held to the episodic approach. The way the ending was handled was just disappointing and in the sense of what this anime tried to convey; imo the train arc was completely unnecessary. In the end, my score would be a strong 8/10
Violet/Evergarden: Unlimited Tear Works
This anime surpassed all my expectations so far, and we finally got my favorite chapter adapted! How did you like the last couple of episodes? I have no idea how they're going to conclude the story (original or LN ending) but I feel the flow of tears isn't going to end anytime soon.
The anime's been focusing heavily on Violet's growth so far and that's something the LN's are really lacking especially early on (fun fact: the adaptation's been almost entirely anime original so far!). The direction the anime is taking has SOOOOO much potential to skyrocket the original story to new heights. I can say this anime truly has the potential to become one of the best slow burn shows ever if the makers hit the right chords!
So far nothing groundbreaking has happened yet: just lilliputian yet very important steps for our characters. It's not just Violet growing, but also the side characters understanding/expressing their true feelings better thanks to Violet. I just really really hope the whole package stays consistent until the end without rushing. No idea what surprises await us, but my seatbelt's fastened real tight that's for sure!
