Unless with a friend I'll get through anime's at a very slow pace. Though when I do watch solo I marathon it, every time. I am about to start Anime Streams on Discord via Rabbit A lot of my animes are from friend suggestions. Occasionally I'll venture out on my own though. Cases of venturing out alone include Gate and Log Horizon. Favourite Anime is Fate Zero. Technically started Anime as a kid, but really I got into it at 2010 with Death Note. I also don't rate Anime until I've finished (or dropped) it. How it concludes is an important factor. I also sometimes change ratings later depending on how memorable they are over time. I generally prefer Subs cause the voices tend to fit the original Author's   portrayal better.Streams > Torrents, mainly cause I procrastinate Anime and Torrnets are less Stream friendly. Liked Genres: Action, Comedy, Drama, Psychological Disliked Genres: Shounen, Harems, and any genre that relies/focuses on sex appeal Note these are generally, there's always exceptions. All Genre's flop when executed poorly, and all do well when executed great. Anime Sins Constant and blatant fan service Normalisation of Incest (At least address it as bizarre like GoT) Normalisation of Paedophilia (No Loli Waifu's please) Rape being portrayed positively or humourously Characters who are a single stereotype like "Notice me Senpai" or "Boob Girl" Undere's Anime Rating System I basically eyeball with MAL's "Masterpiece" or "Good" descriptors, cause I find they act as accurate summaries. I rate animes mainly in personal enjoyment, though I will be generous to animes I can recognise are well made but just aren't my cup of tea (ex: Spice and Wolf). Below is how I generally interpret MALs one word summaries to mean. 10 = It's almost perfect with how much it excels. 9 = A really fun, enjoyable and top of the line anime. But with one or two issues that make it fall short of being a Masterpiece. Or it just misses that level of quality. 8 = A strong, solid and enjoyable animes. With some legitimates flaws,   but is still a strong recommendation.7 = It's fun to watch. I wouldn't suggest it liberally, but it's still an anime of higher quality than average. 6 = It passes. You can find some good things about it, but this is likely only being suggested for you if it fits a niche interest. 5 = Painfully Average. There's nothing that remarkable or negative about it. It's simply there. 4 = There are some noticeable flaws with this series that don't make it enjoyable to watch. 3 = The flaws with this anime are readily apparent, and quite glaring. 2 = There's so much wrong with this anime I have trouble putting it into words. 1 = I need to drink Bleach. About Gaming Mainly a PC Gamer these days (Gotta have dem Steam Sales). Favourite Game Developer right now is Paradox. Favourite Games are Mass Effect, Kotor & Telltales Walking Dead. Games I kill the most hours on are Civ 5, Guild Wars 2, XCOM 2 and   Mount and Blade Warband.Divinity Original Sin 2 is quickly climbing the ranks. Divinity Original Sin 2 has climbed the ranks. PULSAR is an amazing game and more people need to buy it. I don't play video games nearly as much as I used too and I need to fix that. I think that unless some new variant pops up, things will be slowly coming back to normal, even if the number of cases remains somewhat high, which it likely will.
Oh, and congratulations! That's great to hear.
My last two years were a bit of a roller-coaster (partly thanks to corona), even though I can't really describe them as particularly productive, haha. But hey, I also got in shape! Like, I've always tried to exercise in the past, but due to the whole corona thing, I've become a bit of a gym rat. (Since they never bothered closing the gyms here and there was nothing better to do.)
You should come back to MAL someday! Like, I mean, being active again and all.
I stopped using Discord a few years ago. Truth be told, I never got used to it. It is just so stressful. You know... like... you are talking to someone (maybe a girl or maybe a girl you have a crush on), and then they/she say(s) something weird, and you are trying to come up with an appropriate answer, but you just can't figure out what to say, so you start thinking and thinking. And the seconds become minutes, and it's all awkward as fuck since the other person obviously knows you are there and is wondering what the hell you are doing, and better yet, what the hell they are doing talking to you. And it's not even like English is my native language, so I'm practically handicapped by default. Like a fish trying to climb a tree.
Not to mention that "XX is typing" message that always appears in these chat apps; it's just so... Ugh!
Anyway, the point is that long forum posts and messages seem far more appealing to me, personally. You do you, though!
Ah, thanks. I'm doing fine. So far, Japan has been like a safe haven; there were barely even any COVID restrictions in my area. But yeah, overall, I feel like the world has gotten significantly worse and more chaotic over the past years.
