Haha, no worries, I already figured you were occupied by your studies and then the holidays ;) Btw., how's it going with your graduation? Are you already finishing? I hope you're doing great :)
Same here. Up until recently we had temperatures about 15°C almost every day. And of course no snow so far *sad lol* (╯︵╰,) But it started to get colder again and they even promised something like winter after New Year again. Yaay
Welp, and lastly: I wish you a happy New Year, Gru! :P Don't drink too much!
Speaking of which, is it winter at your place? They promise 14°C next week where I live :/
Oh, by "field trip" you meant excursions... Yeah, we've been to a, uhm, dictionary says "hammer mill". It's basically a factory where they produce car parts by forging 'em with big presses.
Then I was supposed to visit a company that produces tooling machines but I chickened out since the company's location was simply too far away for my taste.
But your description sounds so... romantic! I had been undertaking field trips myself when I was in my kids years/teens so forests and nature in general have a magic appeal to me.
Have you thought about writing your thesis about the relation and correlation between mosses and moose? Yeah, sorry, that pun kinda sounded better when being in my head :/
D'awww, I feel you :'(
Field trips in engineering? XD Nahh. We had a practical semester and our thesis and that's basically about it.
When I imagine your field trips I immediatly have this image of a paleontologist digging in the mud for bones so the found DNA can be used for Jurassic Park later in my head... But I guess I'm being pretty far off. Have you been somewhere really far away on your trips? Like in New Zealand or so?
Yeah, working is cool. At least you get paid, duh. Totally hyped for my vacations, tbh, got myself 23 workdays off :)
Have you been to field trips during your study?
I can't and I won't change the subject. I'm too old for that anyway. I guess I just clench my teeth and get it over with. I heard it's possible to make the course within one week (it's a computer course surprise surprise). Lucky me I have my vacation starting next week.
The Bachelor study was all about general Engineering, nothing specific but something of everything. So in the end I was a bit like that fella from AT:
The Master study specialize in "computer-based product designing" (actual translation). Which is basically about simulating different stuff starting with basic machine parts to production control right through to business-"E"conomics.
Yeah, I kinda shot myself in the knee by choosing a subject I can't stand. :/
Initially I thought you'd be somewhat 17 or 18, heh :)
I'm specialised in designing (machine parts and such) and currently struggling to accomplish my Master degree too.
