You said you're currently working, what are you doing at the moment?

Haven't really been a costume person, mostly because it's expensive and I only been on halloween trick or treats like 0 times in my life. Does seem like an interesting event, I think the only reason I know about it is because I've seen it in a film, a film I no longer remember the name of. On a similar topic, do you do cosplays?

I kind of gave up on Naruto, not really a big fan of loooong series at all. But I definitely liked it when I was a kid, I mean, who didn't really, ninjas were basically a trademark of Japanese culture for me as a kid.

Due to global warming and high tides that come in once in a whole, they've had to build a water allocation system as well as some buildings could literally be flooded indoors on the ground floors. It's definitely an interesting place.

Lol, I haven't heard the word anagram so long I forgot what it meant. I guess it is one. The man certainly had an interesting past, for sure. Although my past is definitely not as interesting or as dark.

When it comes to travelling, for me it's mostly about the social experience rather than visiting for the sake of seeing different architecture or environment. So unless I have someone I want to visit or to travel with, it isn't a huge priority. I've no idea about what's happening in Europe so can't really say anything to add to that. With that said tho I really do want to visit Venice for its design. Just a very unique feel as a city, I guess.

My username is fairly simple. I made it when I was around 15 when I was playing a MMO, and I liked the name Itachi from Naruto, and decided to change the I to the end since Tachii seemed like a cuter name. It definitely is, and it stuck. Although as a guy I'm definitely not that interested in trying to be cute, but it is kinda cute as a pen pal handle, so that's cool.

Yeah.... torrents are definitely on the decline. Torrent libraries are basically closing down left and right. At the same time these sites are facing so many lawsuits on many of the sites they're actively telling people to use VPNs to download which I guess would not gave information away that they're downloading from particular sites.

I'm in Canada so the Netflix here lacks in comparison to US Netflix. I'm honestly not sure why we have a different selection, but it all comes down to $$$ I guess. I forgot about Crunchyroll, I'll use that I guess.

Never been to Europe myself either, don't really have any travel plans anytime soon since I just started working and have a looooot of debt that I mostly need to pay back to my parents. This year is mostly gonna be work work work, feel lost at work, and trying to find some new interests to keep me busy when I'm not working I guess.

What's the story behind your username?
Tachii May 28, 2017 10:43 AM
I'm curious, where are you from? Europe?

I'm mostly fine with whatever. I'm too chill to find something like that rude, just a lil bit awkward.

Recently with Nyaa going down and torrents everywhere going down, I find I'm in a spot where I either need to find new hobbies or new places to get my anime/movie fix. Change is hard... RIP.

People watching is nice, however it often feels... kind of solitary, lonely? This goes back to the initial topic we talked about which was the quote you had on your profile.

I was quite solitary for most of my (young) life and while I see that people do need their alone times, I think for me I had a bit too much of those and would rather, you know, people watch with someone, like how we make stories about the people we see and they can be quite entertaining stories.

Earlier this month I was at a mall with a friend, and it was kind of awkward since he was writing this note on a gift he's gonna give to someone, and I was just kinda chilling beside him and was looking at people instead. There's definitely a sort of serenity to it, like you're no longer the protagonist of your story, but a reader of other people's stories.

Ooh I like these chill jazzy songs. This is what I've been listening to recently:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0aCVCLdd1s&

I kind of just want to hop in a cafe with these kind of music on and like, just bring a notebook or a book to write or read, but I don't even know if they exist here in Toronto haha.

I easily read over 80+ chapters yesterday... they definitely have enough material for a second season! Another one of the philosophical questions about whether or not to fondle someone's boobs. So gud.
Tachii May 23, 2017 6:21 AM
Wait, soundtrack for a book?! Like it came with a music CD or something?

Btw, interesting to see you have Prison School as a fav manga on your list lol I only saw the anime and if I read an ongoing manga I usually forget about it once I caught up to it so I try not to. The most memorable scene has gotta be the whole ass vs. boobs debate, maaaaan that's a timeless classic.

Edit: Damn I started reading it again, this series DEFINITELY NEEDS A SEASON 2. But it almost looks like hentai LOL.
Tachii May 22, 2017 7:11 AM
Yeaaah I haven't watched any in a while. According to myanimelist the last thing I finished was Kimi no Na Wa, which I saw in theatres in my city rather than the traditional way of watching anime. I generally like sci-fi and I remember watching GitS:SAC but the second season just made me lose interest somehow. Been meaning to start Space Dandy though. Also the shutdown of Nyaa and the privatization of BakaBT kinda made it slightly harder for me to get stuff now. Seems internet piracy is slowly on the decline. Non-anime torrents are pretty much all getting the axe now too.

I also don't watch seasonals til it's completed. I find my forgettable memory makes it hard for me to be invested in stuff I watch on a weekly basis.

Wow, Norwegian Wood seems like another melancholic story lol. I actually seen this film floating around, maybe I'll watch it (RIP the reviews has not been great for this film). I wonder if this melancholy reflective of Haruki's younger life?

Which book of his would you say you enjoyed the most of?
Tachii May 21, 2017 4:25 PM
I've been slacking off on anime for a while now. I think I'm transitioning to TV series/films which are completely away from anime. Not sure why. Shows like Rakugo are a bit too serious for me? While most of the stuff released are pretty generic high school stuff. What kinda stuff are you watching/liking lately? Doesn't have to be released this year, just what you're watching lately.

I'd probably be very curious if stuff like Murakami's novels can be translated into anime or some kinda visual medium?

"Magical realism, magic realism, or marvelous realism is a genre of narrative fiction and, more broadly, art (literature, painting, film, theatre, etc.) that, while encompassing a range of subtly different concepts, expresses a primarily realistic view of the real world while also adding or revealing magical elements. It is sometimes called fabulism, in reference to the conventions of fables, myths, and allegory. "Magical realism", perhaps the most common term, often refers to fiction and literature in particular,[1]:1–5 with magic or the supernatural presented in an otherwise real-world or mundane setting."

Ooh, that sounds fantastic. Although I probably won't be reading melancholy stories anytime soon haha.

I take it you read both books, and is an avid reader?
Tachii May 21, 2017 11:19 AM
Ah thank you, the title and author sounds familiar, someone I believed on MAL recommended to me before. And Kafka on the Shore?

These novels seem like there's a certain melancholy to them.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
