I started watching anime on may 7th 2020 (So about two years ago) after having read a few manga as a kid. I try and balance it with traditional movies at the same time.
Generally speaking I love character development and realism. I love weak characters' psyches being smashed to bits and built back up. I also love light-hearted comedies, especially burlesque humor. I love when a show knows if it should take itself seriously or not. And I always try to take in consideration the best of anything I watch before trashing another aspect of it - unless I just can't push myself to watch more.
