God therefore called man into existence, committing to him the craftsman's task. Through his artistic creativity man appears more than ever in the image of God, and he accomplishes this task above all in shaping the wondrous material of his own humanity and then exercising creative dominion over the universe which surrounds him. With loving regard, the divine Artist passes on to the human artist a spark of his own surpassing wisdom, calling him to share in his creative power.
I believe that Japanese animation is unique among the arts. It combines some of the finest examples of literary, visual, dramatic and musical talent into a single medium. From urging the meaning of friendship or following two young persons growing closer, to imagining strange worlds or re-enchanting our own, the variety of stories it tells and themes it deals with is quite astonishing. Since I fell in love with it almost ten years ago, anime has been a nigh constant companion during several chapters of my life, and I am grateful I can experience it so readily.
Logging my own anime journey is of course what I mainly use this site for, but I also like exchanging messages with the friends I made on here. In this light I would love to talk to you down in the comments – though I regret to say that I am very bad at replying promptly, so please bear with me! Thank you for reading this, feel free to have a look around! c:

When I first read “deskjockey” I accidentally read it as “diskjockey” and was bewildered over why you suddenly decided to become a DJ xD It makes so much more sense now that I read it properly haha. But I am glad to hear you get along with them because otherwise that can ruin the group dynamic and work if everyone dislike each other.
Maybe he did a little detour then xD I actually don’t know :o I know Sweden was one of the first countries to adopt Lutheranism, but why the Pope visited Lund’s cathedral I can’t really say.
Oh wow, it sounds a lot more dramatic in minor key, but cool nonetheless xD
I don’t think you have! But I appreciate it all the same :D
Very beautiful music you have shared there :D I listened to every single one of them and enjoyed them a lot! I got to say Os Justi is way prettier than the Elfen Lied opening and everyone should at least have heard about Ave Maria. Latin lyrics make for some very ethereal music imo. It truly left a legacy and mark on European culture in one way or another. The German hymns are all very pretty in their own right and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to them too :D Some people may say German sounds harsh, but I don’t agree with that. Just show them this and they will hear how beautiful it sounds!
I guess your mothers hate for Rheinberger will continue to be a mystery then xD
The only thing I was familiar with by Carl Orff was O Fortuna which has a totally different vibe compared to those you showed me! I appreciate his range now and that playlist you showed me was very calm and idyllic :)
I do think the German classical composers are the best. Followed by Russia and Italy. Though Sibelius is still the best obviously >:D
Thank you so much! That is correct, it is about the Battle of Stamford Bridge and I really like it :D
Those are also classics, but I never knew until now that Forever Young is actually a German song!
Not yet! I started reading the gospels thoroughly and then it just made sense to continue on with the new testament and I am almost at the Book of Revelation. But my next “project” will be to listen to his Bible in a Year videos as I start from Genesis and finish the whole thing. Thanks for bringing my attention to the fact those videos exist!
Beautifully said and totally true. Jesus faced temptation in the desert and still prevailed so we should take his example.
Yeah, I see your scores and they tell me you enjoyed them a lot :D
I realized that one week became yet another and suddenly it had been like two months since your reply. Sorry about that! How have you been doing lately? :D
Danke dir für die Glückwünsche!! :D
Ich hatte einen sehr schönen Geburtstag. Guckst du noch in letzter Zeit anime? :D
Und wie gehts dir? hehe
I hope it was a great one!
Happy belated birthday, Autumn!! Hope you had a great time with loved ones <33
I know, right?! The wait for the 2nd season has been killing me, haha.
To Freeze, To Think, To Be definitely are definitely some interest names xD
How dare you! And here I thought my motivational exercise speech made a difference :c But I'm happy you've had enough motivation to do 30 push-ups each morning. I can only imagine a buff Autumn now ( ◡̀_◡́)ᕤ
For some reason I ended up watching several shoujo anime these past few months :o Specifically newer ones (Kanojo ga Koushaku-tei ni Itta Riyuu, Loop-7, and Gekai Elise) They were quite decent, though! Not anything very original and they're similar to each other in many aspects, but I enjoyed watching them :D
Been doing pretty fine! Looking forward to your reply anytime :hugs:
Curious to see what you'll think of Bloom into You, and am looking forward to watching Katrielle's Mystery-Solving Files together!
I will try to finish it soon haha.
Oh, for some reason I thought your favorite anime composer was Yuki Kajiura. Interesting collection of anime Michiru Oshima composed music for. I'll have to pay attention to those and see if I like her a lot, too. :)
I actually think you saying Tamako Love Story is one of the best Kyoani works there is says very little about the studio lol, since to me, it truly was nothing special whatsoever. It was just a nice, cute story and nothing more, really. I liked it, though, but I don't see what's so wonderful about it.
Anyway, happy birthday, Autumn!! I hope you've had a great, memorable day and many more joyous birthdays are to come. 🥳
Also, um, what made you change your rating system? What is the new rating system? I saw that you only rate 1 part of each anime again, and Kaguya-sama Season 3 got lowered to an 8, which is sad lol.
I know it's been ages since we've last talked, but I'm planning to write a reply soon! Hope you've had an amazing day and lots of cake too :3
Take care <3
Thanks for the birthday wish!
It has indeed been very long but it has nothing to do with u ofc, Ive just kinda stopped talking to people here on MAL in general, although I still use the website quite often. As to what Ive been doing, a lot has changed, in fact everything has changed. Since December of 2023 ive been living in Germany! Moving to any country comes with its fair share of hurdles (and benefits ofc, otherwise why would u even move there lol) but I wont be getting into those right now. At the moment my primary focus is the language, and oh boy german is quite the hard language. I have my B1 exam later this month and its honestly getting a bit too much for me right now because Im also working :{
However overall Im managing myself! Pretty much the whole of last year I was in a pretty bad mental state and especially last summer, I would even say I reached rock bottom in terms of my mental health. Thats all in the past tho and I have started a new life here and so far while it hasnt been easy I can see a light shining at the end of the tunnel, which gives me the strength to keep going.
How have you been yourself?
Well said, I couldn't agree more. There's a specific charm for that series that's hard to replicate imo. It has a little bit of everything you'd want in a show and I find it to be one where you can watch and enjoy it casually, while it still maintains a deep and nuanced aspect as well. Really nice seeing someone appreciate the beauty of Hyouka!
Chihayafuru is amazing, the way they go about the storytelling, while expressing emotions in a raw manner, paired with the wonderful animation, and on top of being a fantastic adaptation. It all makes for a surreal experience. I think it will forsure, I forgot where the anime left off but I think there's still a good amount of content left and I'd love for the day where we can see the ending adapted into the anime.
Me too, you'll have to let me know your thoughts on LOGH whenever the time comes!
I also finished Akage no Anne a few days ago and I love it so much, it's pretty much the perfect anime for me. I really appreciate how natural the progression of the story and characters are, it's such a realistic show and way ahead of its time. I heard there's a 1985 TV series for Anne of Green Gables that's really good, so I'll have to check that out. Along with the original novels, which has much more in terms of story content.
I pretty much grew up on anime with DBZ, Naruto, Yu-Gi-Oh, etc. so it's always been a part of my childhood, but I stopped watching for maybe close to two decades or so. I ended up getting back into it during 2020 with Demon Slayer, and from there I've pretty much been watching since. Hbu??
Also was curious, are you Catholic? I see you have St. John Paul II in your bio, and I'm wondering because I'm Catholic myself.
Thank you as well! Have a great week and God bless you my friend!
(I'm kidding don't hurt me)
Yay for Gosick and Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun!! 🥳
Yes, I would also like to finish Saki and get back to our anime we were watching together. :D
How did you find that out about Tico? I recognize the person's face, but no idea about who they are lol.
Also, did you see that I watched Tamako Market? I'm gonna watch Tamako Love Story later today! ^^
