I wouldn’t say Supercrooks is a masterpiece. It’s not very thought-provoking or emotional, there are some flaws here and there, but I had a really fun time watching it!!! The characters were fun, the soundtrack was fun. Johnny Bolt deviates from the norm you usually see in main characters, with anime. He’s kinda stupid, impulsive and actually somewhat relatable. The show has more of a Western ‘feel’ to it. Try it, not sure if you’ll like it or not.
Ok, one more recommendation. It’s not Japanese, but Primal by Genndy Tartakovsky is a great animated series. There’s little to no dialogue - yet the desires and emotions of the characters are all beautifully communicated visually. There’s not a moment I wasn’t engaged with it.
Thanks again for your recommendations, I’m enjoying Mouryou no Hako.
I would recommend Texhnolyze. The atmosphere is very eery and I loved it.
I don't typically enjoy romance, but Kemonozume was really enjoyable, the soundtrack is amazing too.
Shigurui is very unique, if you're looking for something different. The storyline is a little bit confusing to follow though if you don't pay attention.
I've been meaning to watch some of Satoshi Kon's films. Mainly because Hirasawa did the soundtrack for some of his works...
Thank you for your recommendations! I'm going to add Shion no Ou, Mouryou no hako, Memories, Kaze no Youjinbou to my watchlist.
Thank you! Shin Sekai Yori really surprised me and it manages to conclude the series really well. Do you have any underrated recommendations? Pretty bored with what I'm currently watching.
I'm glad you liked my other reviews, it's good to know more people feel the same. I haven't seen almost any anime that you've reviewed, but I liked your reviews on Shion no Ou and Odd Taxi. They were both informative without giving away too much, so I might check these anime out. And thank you for the recommendation. One anime I would highly recommend is Erased if you haven't seen it.
Thank you for reading my review. You perfectly summed up what I was trying to say. Of course I will check out your reviews - I'm always looking for new anime.
