As an Austrian born in the glorious year 2001 (lol), I grew up, like most, with the 70s anime "Biene Maia" and "Wickie und die starken Männer" and other "classic Austrian-German anime".

Much later, in the summer of 2014, I discovered my first modern anime by accident on YouTube. It was in Japanese with subtitles I couldn't read, and each episode was split into many parts. I watched the whole season anyway xD
The name of this first anime of mine was: Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu: Purezza (It's the second season, but I didn't know that at the time).

I was fixated on the screen, amazed at the art and the language, and confused as to what it was. I loved it all. (Yes, even the story, because I was an adolescent boy, and maybe, just maybe, I had hoped something like this would happen to me, haha).

At first I didn't know how to find more like this, and I began to wonder if maybe this was the only series like this.
Luckily, YouTube recommended me three other anime and two years later an AMV, and in the summer of 2016 my new found addiction began xD
And not too long after that, I registered here on MAL. Until then, I had a few sheets of paper where I wrote down what I watched.

I can't imagine my life without anime, and one day I want to travel to Japan to see what life is like in the land of anime.
Not only that, but Japan as a whole is an amazing country that I want to learn more about. A culture so different from that of the western world....

My first Waifu was Kuroneko (Ruri Gokou from OreImo /2016)and my second Waifu is Yami (from ToLoveRu /2017). Since 2021 there's a third. Ganyu from Genshin Impact. I am so glad that they are on good terms with each other (well, at least no one ever complained to me.... actually they never talked to me but that's part of their charm)
So Ruri since 2016, Yami since 2017 and Ganyu since 2021. And yes, I still love them all. It's not bad that I got older and they kept their age. I mean, I was the same age as Ruri, so that's totally fine, right?

I wouldn't be who I am today if not for Anime. It changed my life!

Ayyyy. Nagatoro had a run… but the last few episodes of s2 just didn‘t do it. I dont really know…
This big „final“ of a romcom and I didn‘t quite feel the romance. But also the comedy fell short. I was hoping for a little more but in the end a good show imo

The sound design in Tensura S2 can, for specific scenes / abilities, match the brilliant sound design of, especially the later JoJo parts, wich I consider to have the best sounds in all of television ^.^

Naruto chapters ~350-382 were soooo good. Omg. Goosebumps all the time and to the end I was close to tears. Holy fugg. It was epic. (actually, a few tears came down)
I'm way to invested in the story hahaha *cries

OMG up to 394 its been conistantly amazing! Ill go get some sleep. But I need to continue ahahahaaaa xD

I'm just saying I'm not gay, but OMG. Given was so relatable.... In a weird but fascinating way.
These characters felt more real than most I've seen before.

A year and a half, but ye, I mean, a lot of them are small animes, some are movies, some are songs, so not all of them are animes, you know, but yeah I mean, covid started and I started anime pretty much, and its been great since. some days im completely free so big day of anime, but ye, since a lot of the time during covid I was completely free, I just speedrun anime for real lol.

At least I can sit in front of my PC and watch some potential waifus... in the middle of the night haha
