I think what you've done is for the best, it's always good to prioritize what's important in life and to cut your losses while you can.
I think I'm in the same position as you. I was so determined to impress in my current job and my employer was equally determined to exploit me, to think I've made millions for this company and they still treat me like dirt. Perhaps some of it comes part and parcel with being a sales exec. I need to jump ship ASAP but I'm worried about doing so without having secured another role. In the mean time my mental health continues to deteriorate.
