Just stopping by to say that I was really glad to see Haruhi as your favorite character. I recently finished the show and I must say it took me by surprise. I really liked Tamaki's character and how his interactions were with Haruhi/ rest of the Host Club.

Part of my rating actually considers re-watch-ability as a factor. If I rate a show highly, I am more likely to watch it again with friends or maybe even alone. However, most of my re-watches have come in the form of recommending it to someone and watching it with them. Always feels good telling someone about a good show and watching them enjoy it just as much as you did the first time around. In addition to that, watching a show for the second time around allows me to adjust my rating based on whether I was able to catch stuff I might have missed before like symbolism or character backgrounds and how they tie together. Generally, I end up rating the show similarly or lower than the first viewing but it allows me to provide an accurate grade for the show.

I find myself changing the rating if a show in the same genre or similar overall story does better than what I used to think was the best, in terms of my list. Take for instance, Death Note was great when I first started but my opinions on anime and the overall psychological thriller genre has changed a lot since I first watched DN. Since then I have seen shows like Monster and Code Geass which do the thriller/ MC obsessed with power angle much better. Since I never read the source material before the anime I try to get the most out of the show before I have to resort to the manga as a place to find answers to questions that went unanswered at the end of a show.

I’m still on the look for a 10/10 but it might take a while. Not many things take me by surprise anymore so it’s harder to find one. I’ve found a couple 9’s but they usually have some flaws that don’t make me go the extra mile and give it a 10. I usually don’t rate something super low either, I’ve seen many people give out 1’s/ 2’s to shows that they could have dropped but decided to finish it anyways. Unless the show is really bad, the lowest I usually give out is a 4. I’m trying to maintain my dropped list because I don’t want to drop shows that I could probably get through/ shows I labeled bad from the start without giving a second chance.

I'd say if you have them in your fav's list then you could probably make them 10's :3
I've re-watched almost all the shows in my top 10 or shows that I've rated 10; aside from Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso (which I am planning on soon).

I do change around my ratings every couple of weeks since opinions and tastes so change so I usually adjust them accordingly. Once I complete a really good show I usually adjust others to match my current opinions on a genre or specific character archetype. I used to have four shows rated a 10/10 but I consider Fate Zero a 9 since I averaged the first and second season into one show. I'm still on the hunt to find the next 10/10 show but I have yet to come across one.
