I graduated not that long ago, so I can relate to the fact that students have a lack of time. Combining studies with work must be hard, I have respect for those who can handle it.

By the way, you weren't too abrasive :) I also use MAL mainly as a database & communicating with actual users comes second place.
Mostly it takes some days (sometimes even weeks) to reply people. Main reason is that I need to think real hard before I can put words into English ('cause I'm actually Dutch speaking).
That's also why I don't use the fora all that much. Luckily the time difference - in most cases - give me some respite (I'm able to respond at my own pace while they're sleeping)

I didn't know Dante was based upon the character Alucard. Nice to know :) so you like playing DMC? It's been ages! I've got the 5 games & I love them. Damn shame they altered his looks in the last DmC game (yeah, I'm reluctant to change)

By the way, I find it pretty rare to come across a female MAL user who likes to read guro/dementia. Mostly they find it too grotesque or too bizarre to read them. When you remember any 'good' manga titles, don't hesitate to recommend me some :)

Well I was kinda bored & went through the old Anime groups on LastFm. Most of the people in my friendslist I know IRL & I was in a mood to chat with some other MAL users (I don't like using the fora all that much).
Don't worry, I'm usually not all that talkative, but sometimes I need some rest from watching/reading or dealing with the daily bussiness in life.

So why don't you record anymore? Was it to much of a hassle or did you switch to another platform? I think MAL is still the best database out there, but it's not the most user friendly one.

When you refer to the grotesque, philosophical, do you mean guro/dementia? I read some crazy manga when it comes to that genre.

I'm also not stuck by one particular genre & like to hoover around, keeping an open mindset for a lot of things. But I think the Slice of Life genre suits me best whatever mood I'm in.

Well, my favorite list... It's a bunch of titles I liked the most through the years or left some sort of impression.
For example I liked Koe no Katachi a lot because it was the first time I saw a realistic image of a deaf person (I've got some deaf friends).

When it comes to the characters, I like the ones who're the underdog or the really though females.

Overall I'm too lazy to switch the favorites to the more accurate ones, so I leave them as they are :)

Alas, we've only got Nijigahara Holograph in common. I enjoyed it a lot. Don't know if it's your thing.

Detroit Metal City is also high on my PTW. I've read the one-shot & it was surprisingly nice.

So our tastes are kinda similar, when we're talking about the humouristic, philosophical titles (although I'm more into watching the freaky things from the old days)

Hey, you seem to read a lot of manga! I own like 300 volumes but I hardly finish a serie actually, that's why I haven't completed my manga list here. By the way, since you read Aku no Hana, is it worth it if I already saw the anime (which I loved)? What are the main differences?

It's okay xD I am not good at making conversations too. I only played one of the old final fantasy games. Haven't played any of the new ones. I think the games I enjoy the most are platformers and puzzles games. Games like Portal 2 where you have to work with your partner to solve puzzles. May I add you on steam?!
