Yeah, mine are close to going down too. LOL! On the bright side, the worst shit storms are over.
I don't think Meruem and the Guards dying from radiation poisoning will cause much of a shit storm. I see a lot of people are already expecting it, given that they entered a blast zone while it was hot.hints are going to be dropped leading up to the reveal anyway (the King's nosebleed, Youpi's coughing and his mysterious death). So enjoy a not so stressful forum experience until Alluka comes in a few weeks! xD
Yeah, JJBA is amazing. It's glad to have another anime to look forward to every week besides HxH. As satisfying HxH is, the anime fan in me needs more than one show to keep my blood flowing. Any other good shows this season btw?
Btw, I'll be starting my break sometime starting today so if I don't reply to your next message, you know whats happening. If ever this happens to be our last conversation together, I'll see you in a month or two Galek.
"I've had quite a bit more Filipino food than this iirc, but I know of one called "lechon" (which I can eat only if the roasted pig is out of sight... '-' But, it was still good!). Aside from that, I remember the few other dishes I've eaten as being rather exquisite. =D"
LOL! You kind soul! Did you happen to eat Adobo, Sinigang, Kare-Kare, Dinuguan or Sisig by any chance? I used to like Lechon a lot but after having it again and again over the past month, I'm done with it indefinitely. Although I haven't had a lot of experience with Indonesian food, I did like what I tasted. I've tried Chicken Satay with peanut sauce and I loved it, the same goes for Nasi goreng.
"Also, between him and me - I'm...kind of the only one who talks about the series these days. From this, I can tell he's not exactly digging the arc as much as I am. (Coming into the anime adapting the arc, he's only read half of it from the manga - just short of the palace invasion, and is keeping up solely with the anime from that point on as it seems.)"
Well that sucks. How do you meet up with him anyway? Do you go to his house or something? Anyway, the silver lining in all this is that at least you know someone who is a big fan of the series (right?).
"Anyway, this might be trailing a bit off-subject, but another fun fact about me is that one of my first associations on an internet forum (GameFAQs) was 8 years back with a Pinoy through an online feature of the Nintendo DS game, "Animal Crossing: Wild World". I think his username was something like "Pinoy4Life". Basically, I've known the term, "Pinoy", for a while, before I knew who exactly a Filipino person was.
8 years back? How old were you back then? My first exposure to an Internet forum was when I was 13 (6 years ago) and if my memory serves me right, it was either Crunchyroll or an NBA forum. Also, about the last part of your post, that's fine. The word Pinoy gets thrown around a lot, especially on the interwebs. :Pl
Yeah we're everywhere. LOL! You're Dad's engaged to a Filipino woman? That's amazing. I'm guessing that you've already tried some of our country's dishes? And since you're of Indonesian and Dutch descent, what kind of food do you have at home? xD
"And, like I said before - it's a friend of mine who happened to really get me into HxH. I swear that he's seen over a hundred anime (and a variety of shows), and Hunter x Hunter is among the best, as he told me. (This was before the 2011 anime kicked into gear, or was even announced, let alone!)"
And is this friend of yours is Filipino as well? o.o
Anyway, now that the 2011 anime far into his run, do you guys still talk about series? I've always wanted to have a HxH buddy irl. I've a couple of anime friends but only one of them watched HxH and none of them rave about the series. Oh and since were talking about the person who introduced you to HxH, I actually just met the person who introduced me to HxH this morning (my PT)! I still thank him every now and then for doing so haha.
I wonder how that episode thread will be like? o_o Anyway, I have a feeling most of the complaints will be about the foreshadowing since the Gon's powerup had a reasonable drawback and was well within the rules of nen.
"Hidehiko Sawada (Mori's top animator) helped out with Morel vs Leol (so far, it was the only time he worked with someone other than Mori!). So, who knows what could happen in the coming episodes...?"
That has to be it! :D April Fools day is over so if they don't use him for that fight then..I don't know anymore.
As you said in the thread we were both expecting it. I was eagerly waiting for a WEEK and stayed up late for the first time to catch it ASAP. Damn you Madhouse! LOL.
"I'm hoping for some Japanese key animators to do Killua vs Palm a la episodes 52 and 96."
Well I hope they save them for Netero vs Meruem.
"Could be sorely mistaken, but I think this confirms the amount of episodes the anime will have when the arc is finished - 135!"
If that's true then we'll be covering roughly two chapters per episode from now on. Hearing this from you brings me back to the "time-slot apocalypse" days when people were expecting the animation to drop drastically and the adaption speed to increase significantly. Thank God those speculations were mistaken. :P
So you’re ShigyAmoto! I saw you a couple of times on GuardianEnzo’s page and now that I think about it, you guys had the same DP at one point (guy with the hat). Who knew? Abiru also sounds like an awesome guy, that pic of Gon was a good gift. :P
I skipped ahead a bit in the video you sent me (its length deflated and intrigued me at the same time) and I heard something about Togashi tricking his viewers. Hmmm, sounds interesting, especially with an opener of “no frills and just the analysis”. I’ll definitely check it out soon.
I wish they skip 291 all together. I know this is a long shot but I hope they animate all the build-up Netero and Meruem scenes then skip over any event after 292. The studio’s decision to leave the highlight of the arc to a person who isn't their top animator is really baffling imo.
Hey Galek, sorry if I haven't replied yet. Things are busy over here and I'm really just squeezing my forum posts into my schedule. I'll get back eventually though, just not right away! :>

Don't worry I may found it unbearable to sit through but the story itself is genius!!!
