And okay. I still have to get to the 4th girl in the anime, but I'll just wait and see.
Glad you agree. I've seen very few harems, but I know its worse when a series sets itself up to be a harem despite that its a different genre.
Index II, Clannad, Outbreak Company and Bakemonogatari have those problems, even if I argue against it.
Currently the only proper harems that I genuinely like are Seitokai no Ichizon and The World God Only Knows. I like both due to the laughs, and due to the fact that it never officially feels like a harem. Just a good anime with romance and comedy.
So back to Nisekoi, hope it gets good as soon as more of its subbed or translated. I heard the anime is getting 20 episodes. Strange number, but no stranger than the 10 episodes of Blood Lad or Mondaiji.
And I heard about that. I still have to watch them to find out, but I get the idea. In fact I heard someone made a fancut of the last two episodes mixed with the End of Evangalion. It's called the Concurrency of Evangalion. Not official, but I've downloaded it and will watch it after the rest of the series.
And I guess that's true. I still thought it was a decent film, but maybe because the series got me into anime proper.
As for Blue Exorcist, I know the series is great. I still have to watch the series and the movie, but I know its had great reviews. Plus I've read the manga up to the just-released Volume 11. Also I think the movie took inspiration from these chapters. In fact the Ghost train section was an official side story in the manga. Judging from the trailer and the MAL page, I think it uses that story and the recent festival chapters as a basis and works around it. All in all I'm enjoying the series, and yes I think its better crafted. In fact I think Blue Exorcist is like a cross between Soul Eater and Fullmetal Alchemst.
The demon related topics of Soul Eater and the main focus of the two brothers from FMA.
Anyway, I'm rambling too much. So I'll leave it with two things.
Enjoy the Toradora OVA. It has some laughs. Plus it felt like a nice hint at what was to come in the series.
Also why is Nisekoi one of your favourite manga? Yes I've enjoying the series, but I've heard various opinions, and I will be very concerned if it goes towards harem territory. I don't like those kind of series unless there is a good reason to watch them. For the moment at least, the anime is good. Your opinion?
And I haven't seen that one, but if you think so great. If he's seen Baccano! he should be fine. And Gainax did do some good stuff. Besides, I still have to get around to Evangelion before I make an opinion of their work, mistakes and all.
Anyway, those two series should be fine. Enjoy. Plus the Fairy Tail Movie if he hasn't seen it. It's a standalone movie, but it has some slight continuity nods after episode 150. The point is, I'd say you should get him to watch it if he hasn't seen it already. Enjoy. It is a great film.
Also I'll recommend Blue Exorcist if you guys can find it elsewhere. That's all. Hope it goes well. Talk to you later.
Spice and Wolf is 24 episodes. I just updated my tag for it on my list. Read that or check my profile description for more info or recommendations.
As for the others, Funimation did license Index II and Railgun S and the Index Movie. If he hasn't seen those he should get watching them. I know they simulcasted Railgun S.
And Shakugan no Shana had a movie and two more seasons. If he hasn't seen those they should be good watching.
I'll try to think of something else, but I'd say you should watch trailers on Funimation if you need definite opinions. And watch the Dub of Spice and Wold. It is a cut above the rest. Enjoy.
Spice and Wolf is 24 episodes (worth 2 seasons) if you don't mind a bit of business on the side.
Eden of the East is brilliant if you like the crime and action genre.
Fullmetal Alchemist is a brilliant watch.
Since he's seen Index, I would recommend Railgun (since its the counterpart series). Even if it has female characters it gets to be just as good and intersects in the second season.
Shakugan no Shana is a good action watch. The dub for the first season is good. Everything else is better in sub.
That's all I can think of. Check the funimation and Netflix anime lists and compare them to my profile descriptions and the tags in my completed list section.
Hope that helps.
And thanks. All of those are on my list. I will watch them, but only when I have the time to. I'm in university and have another midterm this Friday.
So do you need a recommendation for your cousin or will the one movie be good?
