The FRANXX rule: If I liked it more than FRANXX, I would recommend it, otherwise I would not.


NOTE: Anime in my list are not rated by MAL's 10-star system because why the fuck does everything from 10 to 6 have to be at least "fine." I already don't like a show very much by the time I'm getting down to 6. So instead I do this:

Tier 1 (10 stars): My favorites. Entirely personal bias. I just liked them the best, idk.
Tier 2 (9 stars): Truly unique works at the pinnacle of their genre(s). Hilarious, action-packed and/or deeply moving. Heavy personal bias.
Tier 3 (8 stars): Well-polished works, a cut above the rest. Some guilty pleasures here and there.
Tier 4 (7 stars): Mediocre-to-decent anime. If I were asked to recommend an anime, I would choose from shows in this tier or higher.
Tier 5 (6 stars): Below-average anime. No thanks.

and if its below tier 5 its FUCKIN SHIT

tier 8 is reserved for the largest deuce in history which shall not be named



I also rate manga by this method, but I have not read much yet so I just give everything an 8 unless I think it's awesome or meh.
