I am a Japan enthusiast, and resident of a small, and only English-speaking country in Central America—Belize. I have a decade and a half worth of love and passion for the Japanese culture, music, food, entertainment, art, literature, and people. In my country, the Japanese people are the minority, and not many fellow Japan enthusiasts exist in respect to overall population.
I guess it goes without saying since I'm on here, but I enjoy anime very much. I used to watch Dragon ball when I was young and also Dragon Ball Z, but I always only saw it as cartoons. I became fully aware of the concept of anime when I started watching InuYasha on Adult Swim (Cartoon Network). The ending theme songs were not translated in English as was with older anime like Tenchi Muyou! and Yu Yu Hakushou. This caught my attention and immediate interest in the music was the result. Thanks to InuYasha, I researched and learned more about Japanese animation and Japanese music. Anime was the true gateway for me to delve in to the world of Japan. I've been hooked ever since.
I'm currently on a mission to learn the Japanese language and, one day, visit the country to experience and learn more. It's good to have friends to share this mutual dream. That way you're not alone and you get more encouraged and enthusiastic about it. What would also be awesome is if more Japanese people came to live here in Belize. It's a great country to be in if you want to escape the congestion and complications that come with living in a way more developed country. Plus, Belize is paradise to many, even to it's own people.
