Yeah, I definitely agree with you about Gakuen Alice. I felt the anime didn't really include the darkness presented in the manga and mostly just portrayed the cute and light hearted parts. Of course, I haven't watched the anime in years, but I know I definitely preferred the manga over the anime just because I loved the later parts of the manga. I really want there to be a remake of it or something in the future because it is such a good manga.

Yeah, Glass no Kamen definitely is similar to Skip Beat because they are both stories about the main characters pursuing acting. Actually, after finishing Glass Mask, I was desperate to find something similar to it, so it's basically what brought me to reading Skip Beat lol.

Thank you for the recommendations also! I am familiar with some of them because I read them in the past but I just never finished them, but I'll definitely try reading them again! Vision of Escanflowne, Fena: The Pirate Princess, the Good Witch of the West, and the Land of the Blindfolded look interesting, so I'll definitely check them out in the future :))

Hey, thanks for accepting my request :). I really enjoyed reading your Sugar Sugar Rune review, so I checked out your profile and noticed your also a fan of Gakuen Alice! I read Gakuen Alice back when I was in middle school and just started rereading it a few days ago! It is such a cute and amazing manga, so I am glad to also find someone who also loves it! Shugo Chara was also my first anime back in like 2011-ish and it fueled my addiction to shoujo anime/manga throughout middle school XD. One of my favorite shoujo mangas I definitely recommend would be Glass no Kamen. It is about a girl named Maya and her passion for theater/acting. I think I reread it like five times throughout the years and has to be one of my favorite shoujo mangas. The art style is a little outdated because it was first published in the 1970s but I personally love the art style. There are also two anime adaptations for it if you want to check it out. There is a pretty big age gap between the main character and one of the male leads (kinda the main love interest but not really), but there is not really any romantic developments between the two characters and the manga is mostly about the main characters passion for acting and the difficulties she faces. The manga is not finished and probably never will be, but I still think you would enjoy it if you liked Gakuen Alice. I would love it if you give me any recommendations for your favorite shoujo or any fantasy manga/anime! :))
